Splinterlands - My veteran’s path of maxing rewards cards from Commons to Legendaries

in Splinterlandsyesterday

One of my strategy in Splinterlands is to grab all the reward cards and to max them out. But it is not as easy as said as I need to be playing each day in order to grab as much Glint as I can and to buy Reward cards and lucky chests. I know that some cards are more valuable than others based on their rarity, but I have chosen to go from bottom to the top. Meaning I first max the common rewards cards and after that I move to Rare, Epic and finally Legendary. While I climb the rewards cards ladder, I sometimes get also cards from the ones that I maxed up so that gives me the opportunity to burn them and get some more Glint that I use to buy reward cards that I don't have. It is like a circular economy when it comes to Glint and Rewards Cards and I quite like that and I believe the use case is quite powerful. Another factor to my strategy is that I first max up regular cards and only after I finish the entire collection I look towards Gold foils. I already have Gold Foils but at the moment as these are harder to max up I simply don't touch them. And who knows, if I will not advance too fast in my strategy maybe I will burn those as well, get much more Glint and complete my collection. But that's to be seen based on my evolution.

And now let's go through my collection and see where I am in my hunt for the rewards cards, whether those are Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary or even Gold Foils. I will list my entire collection here and I hope before the next rewards cards that will appear that I will be able to max them all. Not sure that I have time for that, but neither do I know when new rewards cards will be released. So until that happens, my focus is clear: max them up!

Common rewards cards

As you can see, I’ve maxed up all the common rewards cards and on some I even have additional copies that I plan to burn for Glint. Common cards are usually the easiest to gather because they cost less Glint and also they drop more frequently from chests when going to upper Leagues. They might not look very powerful but when they’re maxed some of them become real assets in certain battle rulesets. Cards like these often surprise opponents who underestimate them. When I look at them I am thinking it might not be much, but at least it's honest work. 😆

Rare rewards cards

My rare rewards cards collection is in a good place and with a little push I should be able to max all of them soon. Rare cards are a bit trickier as they cost more Glint and require more patience to level them up. Still, they are worth my time because many of them are quite powerful and useful across different rules and leagues.

Epic rewards cards

On the epic rewards cards, I’m quite far away from max levels. Once I complete the rare collection, I’ll switch my focus here. Epic cards are where things start to get exciting. They usually have stronger abilities, more health and they prove to be of better use with specific summoners. Getting them takes more time because of the Glint requirements, but in the same time require fewer cards until the max levels. And when I put all my focus on it, I am sure I will grab any Glint that I have and pour it into Epics.

Legendary rewards cards

My legendary rewards cards collection is very very low and it’s probably going to be the hardest one to complete, that even if I will succeed in doing it. Legendary cards are precious for a reason as they drop less frequently and are much more expensive to buy from the Glint shop. But at the same time, they’re the crown jewels of the game, so I hope to get to them in time to level up some.

Gold foils rewards cards

I have quite a bunch of Gold Foil rewards cards, but for the moment I’m not touching them. Gold Foils are special as they’re giving bonuses for the rewards of winning battles. But since they’re harder and more expensive to max out, I’m keeping them as is in my collection for now. There’s also the temptation to burn them for a big Glint boost, but I’m holding off until I see how the regular cards collection will evolve.

Max leveling reward cards in Splinterlands is a marathon and not a sprint. It takes time, consistency, good Glint management and a clear plan. My approach is starting from common cards and working up the ladder and this helps me stay organized and focused. Also it gives me faster achievements which keeps me motivated. Maybe I should have done it in reverse focusing on the rarest cards, but I feel better seeing more rewards cards in my collection than just a few. We are all different and look at things in different ways and I think this is the best of it and that's just something that works for me.
