Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria's former president, visited his ex-VP Namadi Sambo to offer condolences on the passing of Sambo's elder brother, Alhaji Suleiman Sambo, who died at 82. Jonathan praised the late Sambo as a respected community leader and peace builder who'll be deeply missed.

Namadi Sambo served as Nigeria's VP from 2010 to 2015, alongside Jonathan, and previously governed Kaduna State from 2007 to 2010 . Jonathan selected Sambo as his VP after President Umaru Yar'Adua's death, opting for a relatively unknown northerner to maintain regional balance .

Jonathan's condolence message on Facebook read: "Last night in Abuja, I paid a condolence visit to ... Namadi Sambo, over the passing of his elder brother, Alhaji Suleiman Sambo... May God grant his soul eternal rest." This heartfelt gesture sparked widespread reactions from fans and followers.
