Hello again, Splinterlands friends! Hi Hivers! We're resuming this week's community engagement, which is focused on sharing battle analysis, and one of the things I must admit is that Frontiers ranked has become much more fun than modern ranked. The new cards, although limited to the Silver tier and with a specific number of abilities, have become a fun game mode that, while seemingly straightforward, certainly becomes a challenge when you finally reach the Gold tier.

Retomamos el community engagement de esta semana, el cual esta enfocado en compartir análisis de batallas y una de las cosas que debo admitir es que el ranked de Frontiers se ha vuelto mucho más divertido que el ranked moderno, las nuevas cartas aunque limitadas a la liga de plata y con un número específico de habilidades se ha vuelto en un divertido modo de juego que aunque parezca no tener mayores complicaciones ciertamente se vuelve un reto cuando finalmente alcanzas la liga de oro.
I recently managed to get my Archons to level 2, but I was still missing some epic cards, and just this week they finally came out in a single pack. These are: Lenore Nevermore & Lady Amara. I refused to buy these cards on the market because I would later regret buying cards that would eventually devalue, but since I'm now in the Gold league, I urgently needed to have them to improve my strategies. Since then, I've been creating new and more effective lineups with these two epic cards, and that's why I've wanted to focus my battle strategies on them, so let's get started!
Recientemente logre llevar mis arconte a nivel 2 pero aun me faltaban ciertas cartas épicas y solo esta semana finalmente me salieron en un mismo pack, estas son: Lenore Nevermore & Lady Amara, me negaba a comprar estas cartas en el mercado porque después me arrepentiría al estar comprando cartas que eventualmente se devaluarían, pero como ya estoy en la liga de oro me urgía tenerlas para mejorar mis estrategias. Desde entonces he ido creando nuevas y más efectivas alineaciones con estas 2 cartas épicas y es la razón por que he querido enfocar mis estrategias de batalla con estas dos cartas, así que comencemos!
Lady Amara & Lenore Nevermore
Rules of battle!/Reglas de batalla!
This first battle has a fairly tight mana limit, just 26 mana, and the ability to choose only two splinters: fire and life. For this case, I'll plan a strategy where the offensive units will be exclusively magic. That is, I'll use the most recent magic units I acquired for the life splinter, since it's very likely my opponent will only have melee or ranged units.
Esta primera batalla tiene un límite de mana bastante corto, tan solo 26 de mana y la posibilidad de escoger solo 2 splinter: fuego y vida. Para este caso plantearé una estrategia donde las unidades ofensivas serán exclusivamente mágicas. Es decir, usaré las más recientes unidades mágicas que conseguí para el splinter de vida ya que es muy probable que mi oponente solo tenga unidades melé o rango.

🧙♂️Summoner/Invocador: Incessant Sage
We're mainly expecting melee and ranged attacks, so the Incessant Sage archon is perfect for us, as it gives us +1 to the team's defense. Of all the archons, this one has the best design, although I don't know if I'm being biased because I'm a scientist, but the amount of detail in this card's art is exceptional.
Esperamos principalmente ataques melé y rango así que nos viene perfecto el arconte Incessant Sage pues nos da +1 a la defensa del equipo. De todos los arcontes éste es el que tiene el mejor diseño aunque no se si estoy siendo parcial por ser científico pero la cantidad de detalles que tiene el arte de esta carta es excepcional.
👾 Monsters/Monstruos: Paprikash
The low mana limit forces us to improvise a tank, our best option is Paprikash, he only costs 6 mana, has a melee attack and at level 2 he already has 2 defense points + 1 from the archon for a total of 3, I think it's enough for a quick battle.
El bajo límite de mana nos obliga a improvisar un tanque, nuestra mejor opción es Paprikash sólo cuesta 6 de mana, tiene ataque melé y estando en nivel 2 cuenta ya con 2 puntos de defensa + 1 del arconte suma un total de 3, creo que es suficiente para una batalla rápida.
👾 Lady Amara
Lady Amara is my newest epic unit for the life class. I've seen in several games that my opponents tend to use this card as a sort of secondary tank due to its high health, so we'll do the same, placing it in the second position in case Paprikash is eliminated.
Lady Amara es mi más reciente unidad épica para la clase vida, he visto en varias partidas que he tenido que mis oponentes tienden a usar esta carta como una especie de tanque secundario por su gran cantidad de vida, así que haremos lo mismo, lo ubicaremos en la segunda posición en caso de que Paprikash sea eliminado.

I already talked about Celestial Guardian in detail in a previous post highlighting the great advantage of being one of the few flying units in Frontiers. Precisely because it is a flying unit, I will place it in the last position so that it can hopefully evade attacks in the rearguard.
Sobre celestial Guardian ya hablé en detalle en un post anterior destacando la gran ventaja de ser una de las pocas unidades voladoras en Frontiers. Justamente por ser volador la ubicaré en la última posición para que con suerte pueda evadir ataques en la retaguardia.
⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
When we launch the battle, we realize that the enemy lineup not only has health but also a Celestial Guardian. Although it's only a single magic unit, it complicates our strategy. Everything will depend on how quickly we take down the tank in the vanguard.
Cuando enviamos la batalla nos damos cuenta que la alineación enemiga no solo es de vida también, sino que cuenta con un Celestial Guardian, y aunque es solo 1 unidad mágica complica nuestra estrategia, todo dependerá de cuán rápido seamos para derribar el tanque en la vanguardia.

💥Round 1 - 4💥
In the first round, the skirmishes begin, and even though there are no casualties, our tank won't survive the second round. Indeed, our tank fell, but we also took out their tank, so now it was Lady Amara's turn to contain the enemy attack, which gave us enough time for Celestial Guard to eliminate the enemy lineup and achieve victory.
En el primer round comienzan las escaramuzas y aunque no hay ninguna baja, nuestro tanque no sobrevivirá al segundo round. Efectivamente cae nuestro tanque pero también derribamos su tanque, así que ahora le toca a Lady Amara contener el ataque enemigo, lo que nos dio el tiempo suficiente para que Celestial guardia pudiera eliminar la alineación enemiga para lograr la victoria.

The previous battle was quite close, due to its low mana, but it gave us a glimpse of Lady Amara's potential to hold onto first position. Now we'll look at our second epic card: Lenore Nevermore. It's certainly a card with a lot of health, but it's a ranged attack, so we should keep it in the second row. However, in this battle, we'll highlight the advantages this card offers us in battles with a wide mana margin.
La batalla anterior por ser de bajo mana estaba bastante ajustado pero nos ofreció una imagen del potencial de Lady Amara para sostenerse en la primera posición. Ahora veremos el caso de nuestra segunda carta épica: Lenore Nevermore. Es una carta con mucha vida ciertamente pero de ataque rango por lo que debemos mantenerla en la segunda fila, pero en esta batalla vamos a destacar las ventajas que esta carta nos ofrece en batallas con un amplio margen de mana.

Currently, the Water and Death Archons are the most expensive on the market, with Thalgrimore at the top of the list. This is because the effectiveness of the Death class in battles is centered on its ability to reduce the opponent's maximum HP. By using the right cards, we can reduce the enemy ranks by up to 2 points of maximum HP.
Actualmente los arcontes de agua y muerte son los más costosos en el mercado, siendo Thalgrimore el que encabeza esa lista, esto es porque la efectividad de la clase muerte en batallas se centra en su capacidad de reducir la vida máxima del oponente, usando las cartas adecuadas podremos bajar hasta 2 puntos de vida máxima a las filas enemigas.
👾 Monsters/Monstruos: Nim Guard Captain
Void
Nim Guard Captain is the ideal tank when you suspect you will be attacked with magic units since it has the void ability to resist magic attacks. In addition, this tank has very good health and defense stats so it can perfectly support a lineup of melee and ranged units.
Nim Guard Captain es el tanque ideal cuando sospechas que te atacarán con unidades mágicas ya que cuenta con la habilidad void para resistir ataques mágicos pero además, este tanque tiene muy buenas estadísticas de vida y defensa por lo que puede soportar perfectamente una alineación de unidades melé y rango.

So far, I don't have a melee unit that attacks from the second position, so I usually place Black Widow in the second position due to her high HP and Defense. This serves a dual purpose: to act as a potential buffer in the first position, and second, to contain potential attacks from cards with the Sniper ability.
Hasta ahora no tengo una unidad melé que ataque desde la segunda posición, así que suelo ubicar en la segunda posición a Black Widow por su gran cantidad de vida y defensa. Lenore Nevermore is our second epic card. I really wanted to get this card because, first, she has good damage and a very good amount of health. You could consider her low speed a disadvantage, but given the current reverse speed conditions on the battlefield, it's a great advantage. Her snipe ability, which targets lame/magic units in the second row, is also a great advantage.
Lenore Nevermore es nuestra segunda carta épica protagonista, deseaba mucho obtener esta carta porque primero tiene un buen daño y una muy buena cantidad de vida, podrías considerar que su baja velocidad es una desventaja pero para la actual condición de velocidad inversa en el campo de batalla es una gran ventaja, como también lo es su habilidad snipe que apunta a las unidades rengo/mágicas en la segunda fila.

With Sorrow Harvester we will be able to subtract another point of maximum life from the enemy lineup, with this we will accelerate the process of eliminating each of the monsters on the battlefield, especially in the secondary row where the weakest are and can be targeted by Lenore Nevermore.
Con Sorrow Harvester lograremos restar otro punto de vida máxima en la alineación enemiga, con esto aceleramos el proceso de eliminación de cada uno de los monstruos en el campo de batalla, sobre todo en la fila secundaria donde están los más débiles y pueden ser blanco de Lenore Nevermore.

A'lan Musketeer is our last offensive unit. This card has a very advantageous ability: it executes a double attack. As it's a ranged attack unit, it's best to place it in the second-to-last position.
A'lan Musketeer es nuestra última unidad ofensiva, esta carta tiene una habilidad muy ventajosa y se trata de ejecutar un doble ataque, como es una unidad de ataque rango lo más conveniente es ubicarlo en la penúltima posición.

To win this battle, we'll need to attack effectively in the early rounds. To do this, we'll use a decoy to deflect the enemy's initial attacks. In this context, New Beluroc Aegis will be our decoy, drawing all of the enemy's initial attacks.
Para ganar esta batalla necesitaremos atacar en los primeros rounds y que sea efectivo, para lograrlo usaremos un señuelo que desvíe los primeros ataques enemigos. En ese contexto, New Beluroc Aegis será nuestro señuelo, atrayendo todos los ataques iniciales del enemigo.
⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
When submitting the battle, we can see that our opponent opted for the ground splinter. The complication with this lineup comes from Giam Root. This is a huge damage sponge that will keep our epic card and its snipe ability busy. So, everything will depend on our effectiveness in eliminating their vanguard and taking down this enormous obstacle to first position.
Al enviar la batalla podemos ver que nuestro oponente optó por el splinter de tierra, la complicación con esta alineación viene por Giam Root, esta es una enorme esponja de de daño que tendrá ocupado a nuestra carta épica y su habilidad snipe, así que todo dependerá de nuestra efectividad para eliminar su vanguardia y bajar ese enorme obstáculo a la primera posición.

💥Round 1 - 3💥
Indeed, at the start of this battle, we had major problems weakening the tank in first position, and although we managed to weaken it and eliminate the Spellmonger, by the second round, we had already lost the advantage New Beluroc Aegis gave us, so our tank is starting to take significant damage. Fortunately in the 3rd round we managed to eliminate the tank that could heal and we brought Giam Root down to the first position. Although we have already damaged him, he still has a lot of health. The advantage is that in this battle, ranged units can attack from the 1st position, so Black Widow can continue attacking from the vanguard.
Efectivamente al comenzar esta batalla tuvimos grandes problemas para debilitar el tanque en la primera posición y aunque logramos debilitarlo y eliminar al Spellmonger ya en el segundo round ya perdimos la ventaja que nos daba New Beluroc Aegis por lo que nuestro tanque esta comenzando a recibir daño importante. Afortunadamente en el 3er round logramos eliminar al tanque que podía curarse y bajamos al Giam Root a la primera posición que aunque ya le hemo hecho daño sigue teniendo mucha vida, la ventaja es que en esta batalla las unidades rango pueden atacar desde la 1era posición así que Black Widow puede seguir atacando desde la vanguardia.

💥Round 4 - 7💥
In the 4th round, Black Widow held out long enough for us to eliminate the terrible Giam Root and leave our opponent with 3 units as well. However, in the 5th round, we lost Black Widow, but Lenore Nevermore, now in the vanguard, has enough health to withstand several attacks. This gave us time to eliminate two more units, leaving only Kicking Roc in the front position, just to be eliminated by the combined attack of Lenore Nevermore and Sorrow Harvester, sealing the victory of this difficult battle.
En el 4to round Black Widow soportó lo suficiente para que pudiéramos eliminar al terrible Giam Root y dejar a nuestro oponente con 3 unidades también pero en el 5 round perdimos a Black Widow pero Lenore Nevermore ahora en la vanguardia tiene la vida suficiente para soportar varios ataques, esto nos dio tiempo para eliminar 2 unidades más dejando únicamente a Kicking Roc en la primera posición justo para ser eliminado por el ataque combinado de Lenore Nevermore y Sorrow Harvester para sellar la victoria de esta difícil batalla.
Conclusions/Conclusiones
These two epic cards are perfect for me. With Lady Amara, I expand the number of units with magic attacks, while with Lenore Nevermore, I add another unit with two range attacks that also targets the second row, further reinforcing the effectiveness of a Death-class lineup. Estas 2 cartas épicas me vienen perfectas, con Lady Amara amplío la cantidad de unidades con ataque mágico, mientras que con Lenore Nevermore sumo otra unidad con 2 de ataque rango y que además apunta a la segunda fila lo que refuerza más la efectividad de una alineación con la clase muerte.
