No More Force Reduction: Nidhoggr Summoner is Finally Unleashed

Hello Splinter nerds

Nidhoggr.jpg

There was a recent change to Nidhoggr and a few other cards; the force reduction given to Nidhoggr to not make it overpowered has been removed after complaints from players that the ability makes the card weak and doesn't make it a special card as it is supposed to be.

The force reduction is a stat that reduces the number of monsters that Nidhoggr can summon by 1 of the main capacity... If the battle allows players to summon six monsters, force reduction only makes it possible for Nidhoggr to summon 5; if it is 4, Nid will only be able to summon 3, and so on. This stat didn't let Nid see much usage as it should.

With the Force Reduction removed, Nidhoggr will easily claim its glory in battle, and I have seen players using it more in battles now.

Above is Nid's new look without the Force reduction; it still has all the other abilities, which makes it awesome and ruthless in battle.

My favorite of its two pairs of stats is the Blast and Deathblow abilities, I love the stat mainly because of the blast and the deathblow is just an additional bonus, I use the other pair of abilities too but not like the way I spam the blast, I only use the speed and execute when I notice an advantage and loophole in the opponent line up.

I played Nid after the upgrade, and no doubt, this card is better in battles.

I was paired in a battle with three rules.

Global Warming: This is a new rule in which all the monsters have the burning status effect applied at the start of the battle; this is so bad that even immunity monsters ain't safe; it can be cleansed, yet can easily spread again

Heavy Hitters: All units have the knock-out ability, which does double damage when the target is stunned.

Heavy Metal: Only armored units can be summoned...

After reading the three rules, I checked the splinters available, and only the water splinter was missing. I was not sure what the opponent would use, so I decided to go with the best lineup I could think of.

I used the dragon summoner Nidhoggr to summon the life splinter while the opponent also used a dragon summoner, but a different one from mine, to summon the earth splinter.

My formation

One thing that is common when it comes to a ruleset where only armored monsters can be used is the use of magic monsters, so I placed Solace Ashinach with the magic reflect ability as my tank and used Iron Juggernaut in the second position.

Grimbardun Smith and Rage were placed in 3rd and 4th position. Rage gave Smith a magic attack through weapon training, and these two were given the blast from Nidhoggr, which makes them more deadly..

Albahoo forester is my second non-attack monster that benefits from Rage weapon training ability, and lastly was Rila fen. I was not ready to take chances in case the monster used the bloodline tribute, so I placed Rila Fen at the last position to stop that from happening, and it also served as a heal tank for my monster at the front position.

I lost three monsters in the battle but I was victorious!...
