Hello Friends,

Battles with Yodin Zaku Summoner always fascinates me whether I am using it or my opponent is.
Here is another battle involving Yodin Zaku and this time, it's my opponent who used it and I am happy to share that, I won this battle against quality monsters.

Battle and Lineup:

So, as we see above, this was a battle with Water splinter against Yodin Zaku with some of the most popular monsters summoned by both summoners with the lineups as below.
The battle MANA cap was at 42 with rule sets of Armored Up and Healed Out.

Lineup:

1. The Kraken:

Used this to divert all the attack to front monster and also reduce the melee attack wit demoralize ability it has.
The enrage ability means, the front monster will be out soon, may be in round 1 itself.

2. Prismatic Energy:

Used Prismatic Energy just to take on any magic attack as it has magic reflect ability and gives decent 3 magic attack.

3. Sea Genie:

Besides increasing the life by 1, it also gives 4 magic attack with good speed of 4 which makes it to attack early and give that extra edge.

4. Ruler of The Seas:

My favorite Water Splinter monster which has that blast ability to attack 2 (or 3) monsters at a time depending on the rule set.

5. Medusa:

Used this particularly for the Stun ability as this is a healed out battle and helps in getting rid of front monster quickly.

6. Crustacean King:

Lastly, I used Crustacean King inspite of knowing that this is a healed out battle as I wanted to give those extra armors to the monsters I used and that was a good choice considering the monsters used by opponent were all melee and ranged attack monsters.

Opponent used monsters Lord Arianthus, Cerberus, Ettin Spearman, Ferexia General, Mantoid and Flamesmith and it's understandable that, the 4 ranged attack monsters were due to usage of Yodin Zaku as summoner.

Battle:

Round 1:

The battle was fierce with The Kraken getting loads of armors and didn't lose much of main health in this round and other monsters kept attacking Lord Arianthus to reduce it's health to 1.

Round 2:

Lord A got removed early for opponent and Cerberus didn't get a chance to attack and 5 attack Ettin Spearman into front position means, half of the monsters were already out for the opponent and The Kraken was still alive!!!

Round 3:

Ettin Spearman and Ferexia General have to go in this round as the magic attack used by me was too hot to handle with 4 of those magic monsters attacking one after the other and Yodin Zaku's monsters were crumbling one after the other.

Round 4:

It was just a matter of couple more attacks to get rid of Mantoid and Flamesmith and that was one of the easiest wins against Yodin Zaku!!! I never believed it can get this easier, but I once again understood that magic attack is one of the best and with good speed monsters, any other Splinter can be beaten.

And that battle was as easy as it was and one of the good wins for me as a Splinterlands battler.
Not using magic monsters definitely hurt the opponent, but you can't expect more of magic when you use Yodin Zaku as summoner as it loves to call more and more of ranged attack monsters to maximize the combined attack, but magic attack I used proved it's better than the ranged attack even with Yodin Zaku helping those.

Woot! A win against Yodin! This is awesome!
And yes, playing a water team and not using magic is quite a good strategy. 😎
