Splinterlands has been continuing it's upward journey with lots of listings including One on Crypto.com and there is rumour that, the gaming giant is trying to acquire the streaming platform of Twitch.
If that's the confirmed news, then, it's all going in right direction for Splinterlands to become and grow even bigger and that will be a welcome news for all of us!!!!
I have this blog for this week's SHARE YOUR BATTLE weekly challenge, infact, I haven't been able to write a blog for almost 3 weeks now due to some work and happy to get back to blogging thru this one.
We have a Chaos Legion edition monster for this week's challenge with Kulu Swimhunter from Water splinter getting featured.
Kulu Swimhunter is a ranged attack monster with a MANA cost of 4 and gives 4 ranged attack when fully maxed out with good speed of 5 and nice heath of 7.
Let's see the full stats for this Octopus like monster as shared below.
Stats:
As we see, it's ranged attack starts with 2, but can equal it's MANA cost as we max it out to have 4 attack at level 10.
The speed is starting at 2 too and goes on to 5 from level 8 onwards.
The health is on positive side as it starts at 4 and keeps moving up and down to settle at 6 with a high of 7 in it's 10 levels.
Interestingly, this monster doesn't come up with any additional abilities just like the Peacebringer we have in Life Splinter.
Battle and Lineup:

As we see from above, this was a battle of 23 MANA cost and had just One ruleset of Standard i.e. no modification to the standard rules and mechanics.
The battle just had Water splinter enabled to be used and that made me to use the famous Water summoner of Kelya Frendul which is fast becoming the most used summoners after Yodin Zaku and it has been my favorite since the day I maxed it out!!!
With that summoner, I used below lineup for this battle.
Lineup:
1. Cruel Sethropod:
This monster just costs 3 MANA and has huge armors and health and gives a decent 2 melee attack and that made me to use this monster at front.
2. Pelacor Bandit:
This is one of the most used as for as Water splinter is concerned because of it's high melee attack and great speed and also being a flying monster, has great chance of evading melee and ranged attack.
3. Merdaali Guardian:
This is the new tank healer with repair ability too for the Water splinter and I have been using this more than Crustacean King.
4. Doctor Blight:
Used this to have that extra advantage wit it's poison and scavenge abilities and it's invisible too with camouflage ability.
5. Kulu Swimhunter:
Used this theme monster in Fifth position to utilize it's nice ranged attack and also to good speed it has.
It also has huge health of 7 to last One or 2 more rounds in such medium MANA cost battles.
6. Igor Darkspear:
Lastly I used this ranged attack monster to cover the last 2 remaining MANA cost and it comes with a stun ability which can be very handy in such battles.
Opponent too used same summoner with his monsters being Cruel Sethropod, Torrent Fiend, Pelacor Bandit, Creeping Ooze, Kulu Swimhunter and Djinn Oshannus.
Battle:
Round 1:
With Kelya Frendul guarding the battle on both sides, there were armors on for all the monsters and that means, there wasn't much casualty in this round with all the monsters surviving this round!!!
Round 2:
Cruel Sethropod somehow escaped in the First round, but, it wasn't lucky to move beyond this round as opponent's front monster lost out and took out it's Second line's First monster of Torrent Fiend to make it 2 in a row.
Round 3:
Pelacor Bandit was already hit in previous round and he has to go in this to make the lineup even weaker for opponent as he is left with just 2 attacking monsters in Kulu Swimhunter and Djinn Oshannus.
Round 4 and 5:
Djinn Oshannus was to First to go in round 4 followed by Creeping Ooze and in round 5, the Kulu Swimhunter too bowed out giving me an easiest win!!!
Questions and Answers:
Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?
I think the lineup was good and even opponent too had a good lineup except that, the monsters I used were having that extra advantage of high attack and speed due to being in higher levels and that made this an easy win for me.
Do I like KULU SWIMHUNTER? Why or why not?
I haven't been using this much because of other high profile monsters, but this one looks good for such low MANA cost battles with high ranged attack and yes, I would be using it more and more in the upcoming battles!!
That's it guys in this comeback blog from me :). Planning to purchase few more packs later this week or latest by next week to max out few more Chaos Legion monsters and hopefully, will find some gold foiled legendaries too :)
