Hello Friends,

Splinterlands is always fun battling it out in daily quests, battle for the race to season end chest rewards and also win some rewards as part of daily quests.

Not to forget about the blogging on Splinterlands related activities such as weekly challenges, Splinterlands related art works and also anything in general about the Splinterlands such as reviewing monsters, providing tips to be a successful batter etc.

Here I go with a blog for this week's Share Your Battle Weekly challenge with theme monster of Sand Worm.

Sand Worm is a common melee attack monster from neutral category belonging to Rewards card edition and is a sneak attack monster.

This monster is with good attack and has some nice abilities as we discuss below:

This monster starts with 5 melee attack and it keeps increasing as we level this up, it gets 6 melee attack by level 4 and then the maximum of 7 attack by level 9.

It's speed is not much in the initial levels as it starts with single speed, but, that can get up to 4 by the final level. Because of it's low speed, it's best suited for reverse speed battles in initial levels, but when upgraded to level 5 and above, it can have a minimum of 3 speed which is ideal for even normal battles.

The health part, it doesn't vary much in health with starting health of 5 and goes to 7 from level 7 onwards.

The abilities of this monster includes snare and pierce apart from the default ability of sneak attack.

Battle and Lineup:

This battle is on high end of the mana cap as it had 42 mana cap with single ruleset of melee mayhem. This means, all the melee monsters can attack from any position of the 6 available positions.

I used a lineup of strong melee monsters without any healer with couple of monsters at First and Second position with armors as shown below:

Lineup:

1. Stone Golem:

image.png

Stone Golem is a monster with armors and has shield ability too to have lesser attack from melee and ranged attack monsters and hence, I used this in First position since this is a melee mayhem battle.

2. Goblin Mech:

A good melee attack monster and has huge number of armors and hence, I felt this is a good option as a back up front monster. It can even pierce the armors and reduce main health too.

3. Raging Impaler:

Raging Impaler is another monster with pierce ability and it can even enrage to have increased melee attack and speed when it is attacked by a monster.

4. Sand Worm:

Sand Worm is the theme monster for this week and being a sneak attack monster, I often use this along with other melee attack monsters to keep attacking from back end of the lineup.

This gives me a good 6 attack to almost take out a monster in each round.

5. Flesh Golem:

I held this healing monster at the backend to keep it longer in the battle and have a chance of winning the battle even if other monsters gets removed. This monster with 10 health and 2 melee attack, is a First choice front monster for me in normal battles.

6. Screeching Vulture:

Used this opportunity ability monster to keep looking for monsters with low health and keep the battle alive.

Here I am providing the screenshots of the battle with battle link as shared here below:

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Since this was melee mayhem battle, my plan was to have monsters with armors at the front and I was successful in defending those monsters and win this successfully and hence, the strategy worked well for me and I will be happy to use the same lineup again without any changes.

Do you like the SAND WORM? Why or why not?

I like this monster as it is the one with good melee attack and keeps getting rid of those back end monsters.

I particularly like the abilities of sneak and snare and snare is particularly helpful in earthquake battles.

Thank you for the support, I always appreciate all the upvotes, comments and helpful suggestions from all of you.

You can tell just by looking at the damage in shot one that your opponent never stood a chance with this ruleset, great card selection!

@tipu curate

Thank you sir,

Yes, in just 6 iterations, opponent lost 2 monsters and usage of that Earth splinter summoner means, he won't have the armors and that was another setback for him.

I guess he was competing for a daily quest as most of his monsters were from ranged and magic category and didn't help him much.

Thank you for tipu curate.
