RE: Getting Ready For Riftwatchers

My understanding is that you still have to run a node for the license to get you anything, right? All the license does is get the node operators (who don't get enough validator votes to validate any of the blocks) some SPS from the monthly distribution.

I think they said 375k/mo SPS goes to the top 50? 100? node operators who are actually doing all the validating since they have the most votes from SPS stakers. The other 4000-5000 License owners who also operate a node get to split 3,375,000 SPS/month equally.

I'm not saying it's not worth doing. On the contrary, if and when the SPS price starts climbing back to $1 or more, it would be very lucrative. I'm just pointing out that buying a license isn't the only step involved. You still have to operate a node as well.

I could be misunderstanding the language but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

As for the RW pre-sale, I definitely plan to get some. Hopefully it's not some crazy free-for-all and there's at least a couple hours to get in before it sells out. That promo card looks Sweet!

Yeah if SPS goes up, it's a huge profit center. Apparently it's about 75% APR or something...But of course, the ones with the most nodes will always come out on top lol
