Hi Metronet - did you finish in a higher league last season? If so, your chests are "priced" at a rate that is appropriate for that league. So, until you have moved up closer to that level, you're going to get FP at a rate that will take a while to get a chest. However, when your rating goes up, so will your focus points.
Also, your Dark Energy Capture is very important too. If you play your DEC down to a low level, it will impact your score. So, for instance, if you log in for the first time that day and play a round at 100% DEC, you'd get more points for a win than you would if you had played 20 matches and then gotten a win at that same level.
Good luck - I hope you get some chests soon! I recommend focusing on leveling closer to where you were last season, not playing so many matches that your DEC rate drops low, and most importantly; having fun! :)
