Hello Splinterlands Summoners
Welcome to my weekly Splinterlands post, as I always write a couple of Splinterlands posts everyweek because I like this game. Honestly I haven't played Splinterlands regularly and the last couple of days are hard for me. I was sick a few weeks ago now I have to pay the price right now by excessive works to catch up what I have not finished yet.
So today I will share something different. Usually I want to tell something then I will figure out how to say and play until I get the battle I want or I see relevant with what I want to share about. Now I will do differently. I will get one of the battle from my history which I see standout compared to the others.

I pick this battle because I see two distinctive points compared to other battle. First, my opponent was way above my rating. So I was on Silver 2 league and I got matched to Silver 1 league player who have almost 300 ratings above me. It feels good to beat someone who is above you, so I believe this battle is worth to be discussed.
The second one was our line up. I see both of us came with a very prepared line up, we used different meta. None bested the other, each has their pros and cons. I believed I won that battle by a thin margin.
So let see what the battle was..
This is an interesting battle for me, because both of us use different meta and I see both are the same good compared to others. So I can not say the one who will win is the better one.
Level-wise, both of us are around the same. He has some cards which have higher level, and so do I. Both of us have cards with lower levels too. so I see level is not an issue here.
So let me describe the pros and cons on his team.
- He has several good tanks, starting from Daigendark Surveyor, then Uludin Overseer, and the last might be the strongest is Grimbardun Smith. Grimbardun Smith will be his core unit, so that is the final boss I need to defeat in order to win this battle.
- During Noxious Fume ruleset, everyone gets poisoned, so higher health point units are stronger and he has this point. So in this term, his team is better.
- He has two units with Weapon traiing. So we can not measure how strong their units at the beginning, however I can say they are very strong.
- Overall his team is very balance, has a tank, has an opportunity attacker to hit opponent backline unit, has a healer and the last is has a unit with immunity ability, something that important during the ruleset.
So how about my team, I think we are no less, on some part we are far superior but of course there are parts that we are lacking at. So let me describe here:
- I have a cleanse ability, which will erase poison effect on my main tank, something that they don't have. But they have a unit with immunity ability, so I think this part is a stale condition.
- My team in overal has lower health point, the highest is 6 and their highest is 14, more than twice. so we can say my team is more vulnerable in this ruleset. This is a plus point for their team.
- I have triage ability, so I will keep healing my backline. it means some of my units will die harder than his.
- I have utilized armor in my line up, so physical attacks won't directly hurt the health points. I see their line up only one unit has a good armor, the Uludin Overseer. So they are pointless to use repair ability here. However this is not something significant during this Noxious Fume ruleset.
So I am not better than him in this meta building. But it is due to the selection, I believe he has or she has more cards than me.

Looks like I am superior in the first round, I killed one of their unit and they could not breach my main tank. Things work as I have planned, but it is far from over. It's only the beginning. I have lower health points team right? So I will expect thing will get ugly later.

Round two is mine too. They lost another unit and my team is still full, nobody has died yet.

I beat them again in round three, and round fourth starts with 2 vs 6. however this is the hard part for me, because most of my unit dies in this round. So it is no longer a one sided battle. This is the effect of Noxious Fume ruleset, poison will kill everyone.

and the final round is one on one, not a slugfest because my Silverblade Fighter moves first and kills their Grimbardun Smith.
See, until round 3 everything one sided but still ends with 1 hit different, and I win solely because my last unit is faster than his. This is Noxious Fume ruleset, everything will be changed due to poison. That's why I have said earlier that my opponent meta is good too.
However , the winner is still me and I think I have a luck factor in this part too. It's always fun to win a tights battle like this. This is what we seek in this game, although sometime we prefer to win easily by overpowering our opponents lol.
Anyway that's my post today, I hope you like it and thank you for your visit here. See you in Splinterlands Battles!!!
