Greeting Summoners
Today I should write about Splinterlands Community Engagement, however I do not like this week theme. It is not bad, but I have written about it several times before, so I am hardly excited about writing the same thing several time. So let me write something else, which is related with what I have written yesterday about Splinterlands too.
I have been playing in Wild Format recently, to improve my Brawl performance. One thing that I did not employ in my previous post, was about buying, selling or replacing some cards. I do not like to talk about it too openly, because of two things
- There could be some disagreement about it. I am stingy in term of playing games, my aim always be the best value, not the best performance. There were many times in the past my friends even questioned my decision not to buy or rent some cards that they believed essential.
- Favoritism, because what are great for me might not be great for you, vise versa. It would be weird if I say these cards are bad but you think the opposite way, or I say this is great one but you see it is a junk lol.
Ok I would not share all of my cards purchase here, not even majority of them. I will only share a couple of them and explain why.

I usually use peakmonsters for my Splinterlands purchase, however this time
I will use https://monstermarket.io/ . I think they need some endorses regarding many people have forgot that they are still exist. Same with Aqualis and Peakmonsters, Monster Market gives some cashback too for all your purchases.

Here is my cashback after buying a couple of Conclave Arcana cards. Not big, only 151 DEC, this number comes from 6298 DEC I have spent to get some copies of the Gold Foil cards. Ok let see those two cards.
Mystic Mudbinder

I like Mystic Mudbinder, and I think he has a good future later. However this is the definition what a late bloomer is, they are great after they reach the highest level. On early phase, it is just another 2 magic damage attacker. Nothing special, infact it is too demanding for the attributes it offers.
Those were the reason why I decided not to buy this card in the past. I planned to play on Silver to Gold league, so I saw this card would not be useful.

It has changed today, the 5 copies I just bought are combined to make a level 5 Mystic Mudbinder. Honestly stat-wise or based on the attributes, this was a waste of money. A half ass of everything, the jack of the all trades. Decent magic damage, decent armor, decent health, decent speed.
However there is a catch here, I have learned from my plays in the Wild Format that I would need his void armor ability. It is not a great card but will become very handy during Magic only ruleset or Wands out modifier.
During that ruleset, many big magic hitters join in the battle, so void armor plays great part in countering mega damage, a magic attacker that would kill his target in one blow.
Let's hope I am not wrong here, I do not wish to waste my DEC for useless cards lol
Conclave Artificer

The second card is Conclave Artificer. This is a bad card for me, regarding I rarely play with weapon training recently in Modern Format. However in Wild Format, we are frequently having opponent using weapon training or we even decide to use that ability too.
There were many non attacking cards, and that's my main reason why I chose to save my dec not buying this card. Better I spend my DEC on new cards...

However today I just bought 5 copies of him and combined into a level 5 Conclave Artificer. I have one reason for it, his Lookout ability. After playing for days in Wild Format, I learned that in most battles I used weapon training meta, my opponent tended to counter it by deploying some Opportunity attacker or Snipers. They wanted to shut down my backline units quickly and most non attacking units do not have good health point.
That's why I see his lookout ability could be a solution to recounter this counter. Well I might be wrong here, but I am willing to take that bet.
You might be wonder, why I do not buy old cards. It is not because I do not want to buy them, but I see they are plenty on the rental markets, and the price is too low. Why would I buy a card if I could rent it with an extremely cheap price?
This is an issue for cards investors, however this is a long deep discussion that I prefer to avoid it. Let other talk and discuss about it, but not me. Sometime people get too emo if the talk involves their money.
Anyway that closes my post today, thank you for your visit here and see you in Splinterlands Rank Battles!!!
