The Ruleset

- Rulesets - Going the Distance, Ferocity & Taking Sides
- Mana Cap - 18
- Active Elements -
Here's my starting lineup
Summoner: Eternan Brune

- With the ruleset and element pick that I got I had mainly two summoner options
- One was Fire and the other was Water
- The water element was possible stronger but it was going to cost a lost more mana than I had for this battle to make this water comp work
- So in my case I went with fire element as I had a decent low mana ranged team there
- Eternan Brune was mainly picked because of his high level but also his -2 armor as ranged monster had to hit armor first and finally because of his Conscript ability which enabled me to play a single Gladius monster for this team
- Conscript - One extra gladiator card may be used in battle
1st Position: Lava Launcher

- Lava Launcher was my main tank for this battle
- Main reason I like Lava Launcher here a lot is his Close Range ability
- Even tho I picked a high mana cost summoner I still decided to go with a high mana first monster also as I just needed someone strong in front
- The second reason was that my summoner + first monster left me exactly with 3 mana which was enough for my second and last monster
- Also the reason I was fine with him costing so much was that Lava Launcher was just an amazing tank and damage dealer in one
- Close Range - Can use ranged attacks from the first position
2nd Position: Sarius

- For last but not least was a wonderful Gladius monster Sarius
- As a played Conscript summoner and had exactly 3 mana left it just seemed logical to play Sarius here
- For 3 mana Sarius has amazing stats being 3 ranged damage, 3 speed, 5hp and her amazing Bloodlust ability which hopefully was going to come in clutch later in this battle
- Bloodlust - +1 to all stats after dealing a killing blow
Starting board

- After seeing the starting board I was quite scared at the start as my enemy had higher level cards than I did and also the Headwinds ability which was going to counter both of my monsters hard
- But then I saw my enemy played a taunt monster which was a big mistake on his part as Ferocity was active and that meant if I managed to get to him he was going to fall fast
- Even tho I was 1 level down with my summoner I still had more damage on board which made me a little happy and hopeful for the battle
- But my predictions could still be off by a mile so lets start the battle and have a look
Here's how the battle went
1st Round

- After the first round the board was still looking quite the same as in the start
- I had managed to damage my enemies first monster leaving him on 1 hp while my enemy only did 3 armor damage to my Lava Launcher
- At this point i felt like I was a little stronger than my enemy as next round I was going to take down his first monster which meant I was going to get back my ranged damage and also was then able to get some huge damage on his Taunt monster
- But anything could still happen so lets keep watching
2nd Round

- After 2nd Round the battle was 100% decided as in the start of the next round I was going to take down his second monster leaving him with only one monster left who could not attack from the first position
- Even tho the battle was already decided lets still make a stop on each round that was left as there was not going to be very many of them
3rd Round

- Up to this point my Bloodlust monster havent still got any take downs but this was not going to matter
- My enemy was now at one monster left who could not attack from the first position and that sealed the battle
- Now I just needed to wait for the start of the next and last round and then claim my victory
4th Round

- It took me a single attack to kill my enemies last standing monster
- After his Angelic Mandarin had fallen I took the victory

Summary
- This battle was definitely heavily one sided but still fun to watch
- The strategy to take away from this battle is the basic do not play Taunt monsters when the Ferocity ruleset is active
- My enemy basically waisted 8 mana as his Wave Brood did almost 0 damage and died really fast
