After Thomas Edison made a lot of failed experiences to invent the light bulb, he said:
I did not fail, I simply found 10,000 ways that do not work._
And I think I got a similar experience to Edison's in this battle.
Dragons is a special element in Splinterlands, dragons can combine with other elements and use their monsters in battles.
I do not have great experience with the dragons because I don't use it a lot, and I only have three monsters of this element. But I'm excited to get to know dragons more.
In this week of share your battle challenge, I tried to make a good battle to talk about, but unfortunately I lost some battles, so I decided to talk about a battle I lost and made mistakes.
My lineup & strategy:

First: DJINN CHWALA.

It's true that I don't use dragons much, but Djinn Chwala is one of my favorite monsters. With 2 melee ATK, 9 Health, 5 Armor, and the ability of thorns, Djinn Chwala is very useful and powerful tank in front of Melee monsters. But the surprise in the battle was that the opponent used magic beasts.
Second: TWILGHT BASILISK.

It is true that it is gold, but it is not mine, it is a delegation from a friend. I thought of using Twilight Basilisk in order to take the advantage of Reach ability to hit the opponent's tank and knock it out in the first or second round. But it seems that this was not enough.
Third: FOREST NYMPH.

It's very important to keep your tank's health high and help it to hold up. So I chose Forest Nymph to give me this benefit and participate in the attack on the opponent's tank.
Fourth: URAEUS.

I always make sure to use a monster that has the sneak ability, I think it's important to weaken the opponent's backlines and get rid of some monsters that give him support. And Uraeus is one of my favorite mosters.
Fifth: NAGA ASSASSIN.

Actually, I don't know why I used this monster, maybe because the Mana cap, it costs 2 mana, and that was I had. Whatever, it may help with the attack on the opponent's tank.
Battle Highlights:

_My summoner was Drake of Arnak which gives my monsters +1 shield, and I thought that would help me in the battle, but as I said above, the surprise was that the opponent used magical monsters with the summoner Obsidian giving +1 magic. As we know, magic blows under the shields.
In the first round, the opponent took the advantage on me, his tank was FAILED SUMMONER who has magic reflect ability but it didn't use because it recieved 3 hits by NAGA ASSASSIN, TWILIGHT BASILISK, and DJINN CHWALA who finished FAILED SUMMONER. but my tank also received the magic hits that finished it.
TWILIGHT BASILISK became my tank in the second round, and hit REGAL PERYTON that also turned to be the opponent's tank, but it didn't last long and fell after receiving two magic blows. Uraeus used its sneak ability to finish XENITH ARCHER before kHMER PRINCESS eliminates my new tank FOREST NYMPH. Also URAEUS got finished by GOBLIN PSYCHIC.
_the third round was too short, NAGA ASSASSIN is useless as a tank, so it just recieved a magical blow by REGAL PERYTON. And I got a crushing defeat.
My notes:
Obviously, my strategy didn't work well. It seems that I didn't anticipate my opponent's plan well. I focused too much on hitting my opponent's tank and overlooked his back lines. But as happened with Edison, I discovered ways to fail, and one of them is that the greater focus on the opponent's tank leads to defeat.
