BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge - Ferocity

in Splinterlands11 months ago

Greetings, brave warriors of the Splinterlands! It's not exactly a hot weekend for sitting at the computer, but I did manage to find a few hours to try my hand at the new BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge and do a few battles with the Ferocity rule.

The rule, by the way, is pretty funny and while in normal battles you can put a powerful card with Taunt ability on the first position and help it with healers and shield repairers, with double damage this strategy doesn't work and you have to look for alternatives.

In one battle I got a combination of Ferocity and Melee Mayhem rules, and decided to have another blitzkrieg with high-speed Death Elemental melee monsters.

My lineup:

WAKA SPIRITBLADE

A great & beloved summoner, giving allies to deal extra damage to the enemy with the Poison ability.

CURSED WINDEKU

Awesome card for firs position with a lot of health and a good attack, but most of all with Thorns ability, so every successful attack against the enemy turns back on him.

PHANTASM

As I said above - I tried to emphasize fast melee attacks by taking advantage of the Melee Mayhem rule, so the second line went to this fast card with a great attack!

UNDEAD MINOTAUR & POSSESSED PUPPET

In order to strengthen the attack on the opponent's first position and take out his tank as quickly as possible, I gave the next positions to the two cards with the awesome double attack ability. In addition, if my opponent had ignored the Ferocity rule, his powerful defense against my attack wouldn't have lasted a couple moves :)

CREEPING OOZE

The speed advantage was worth increasing, so I ended the combo with this classic cheap card, lowering my opponent's card speed. If you attack first, you can quickly gain a qualitative advantage.

My opponent, unlike me, relied on magical attacks, and assembled a good team of mages, reinforced with OBSIDIAN, and protected them with a powerful UNICORN MUSTANG. In addition, he made it difficult for me with the healer WOOD NYMPH, which could seriously interfere with my plans...

The quick attack strategy worked brilliantly! During the first round, I lost my CURSED WINDEKU, but I destroyed the enemy's "tank" and generally - inflicted significant damage on the enemy and achieved a serious advantage.

In the second round, my fighters managed to miss several times. Which is not surprising, as the REGAL PERYTON flying mage is a very nimble card.

In the second round, my fighters managed to miss several times. Which is not surprising, as the REGAL PERYTON flying mage is a very nimble card. But I went into the third round with the certainty that it would be my opponent's last :)

And that's exactly what happened. Poison did its job, and it was a very easy win.

I was happy to share that experience with you and see you on the battlefield!
