I am sharing my battle with SHADOW SNITCH in this post. SHADOW SNITCH is a death element common rarity monster with 1 melee attack and reach ability at level 1 and it costs 4 Mana. Monsters with reach ability can attack from 2nd place and target the 1st position monster of the enemy.

LORE

Shadow Snitches are created by the conjurers of the Chaos Legion. Weaving Death magic, they breathe life into beings made completely of darkness. The purpose of the Shadow Snitches is to be deployed into lands prior to the Chaos Legion's invasion. Moving from shadow to shadow, they are listeners and watchers, feeding information back to the Chaos Legion.

But once the invasion is complete, the Shadow Snitches still serve a purpose. They can locate and follow high-value targets, reporting back on movements to Chaos Legion leadership. If needed, Shadow Snitches can also capture prisoners and bring them back for interrogation.

Battle Rule

UNPROTECTED - Unprotected battle rule means monsters do not have any armor and do not get any armor from summoner and abilities also.

EVEN STEVENS - Even Stevens rule means we cannot use odd Mana monsters in this battle. Only monsters with even mana can be used in the battle.

50 MANA - Mana cap is good enough in this battle one can easily use his/her favorite monsters in the battle in 50 Mana cap.

We can use any element splinter in this battle except dragon and life element.

SUMMONER

THADDIUS BROOD

Thaddius Brood is a death element splinter. It costs 4 Mana points. It reduces 1 health and 1 magic attack of all the opponent monsters. I have level 1 Thaddius Brood. It performs very well in this battle and reduces the 1 Health of all the opponent monsters so that my monsters were able to finish the monsters in less number of attacks.

Messing with the dark arts should not be taken lightly. But that was the risk that Thaddius Brood took. A curious young man fascinated by the occult, he took to casting rituals and holding dark ceremonies. And it wasn't long before he got in touch with a dark entity that drove him into madness.His family sent him to an asylum, but it only worsened his condition. And the entity within him festered and grew more powerful. Soon there was no boundary between Thaddius and it. Using his newfound dark magic, Thaddius broke from his prison and now wreaks havoc everywhere he goes. Through his rituals he got into contact with Doctor Blight. And the Doctor was fascinated with his power.

Monsters

1 - GOBIIN MECH

Goblin Mech is a neutral element melee attack monster with piercing ability. It costs 10 Mana points. I have used it it the first position in this battle. Monsters with piercing ability can damage armor and health of the opponent monster in a single attack if armor of opponent monster is low.

This mechanical monstrosity is a recent creation of Gurklies Gobson, the wild and wealthy Goblin scientist. As with everything the Goblins make, it runs on Goblin power, meaning that it’s full of Goblins, turning cranks and pulling levers. The Mech is run by seven Goblins in addition to the pilot.

2 - SHADOW SNITCH

Shadow Snitch is a death element melee monster with reach ability. I have level 1 shadow snitch. It is a good card for the second place because with the help of reach ability it can attack from the second place on the first monster of the opponent. It costs 4 Mana points to take it into the battle. It was the main card of the match because of theme of the battle share. I have used this card for the first time in this battle and in the 4 Mana its reach ability and 5 Health makes it perfect.

3 - PRISMATIC ENERGY

Prismatic Energy is a neutral element magic monster with magic reflect ability. It costs 8 mana points. I have level 3 gold foil prismatic energy and it gets 1 magic attack at level 3. I have placed it in 3rd position in this battle.

A Gloridax experiment gone awry has resulted in a blinding Prismatic Energy loose in the Splinterlands. The Gloridax news briefs have assured the public that there is only one Prism on the loose, but the mysterious Energy moves fast, leaving a wake of magical destruction wherever it goes.

4 - SPIRIT MINER

Spirit Miner is a neutral element legendary magic monster with dodge ability. It costs 6 mana points . I have placed it in the 4th position in this battle. Placing it on the 4th place was the right decision and it was alive till the end of the battle.

One brave Dwarf Miner dug too deep many years ago into the Underworld of Mortis, seeking great treasure from the Realm of Dreams. He stumbled upon an ancient, brooding evil called the Black Drake of Malaby and a great duel ensued. Although the Dwarf was skilled in the warring ways, he was no match for the power of the sinister Drake. He was cornered and targeted by Malaby’s most powerful spell, Flesh Assumption. The body of the Dwarf vanished, and all that remained was a silver, ethereal spirit cloud.

5 - GRIM REAPER

Grim Reaper is a death element rare monster with 3 ranged attacks and affliction ability. It costs 6 mana points. Monsters with affliction ability makes the opponent monster unable to heal. I placed it in the 5th place in this battle.

Grim Reapers are often spotted by the dying, or reported by those who return from near-death experiences. Their faces are not shown. The Reapers’ black cloaks are so heavy that they scrape on the ground as they approach. Each Reaper’s long bony fingers clutch the handle of a great scythe. It is said that the Reaper’s scythe is used to literally cleave a soul asunder from its body at the time of death. In battle, the scythes are generally used as an unblockable projectile.

6 - OCTOPIDER

Octopider is a death element ranged attack rare monster with 3 rare attacks. It costs 8 mana points. I have used it in the last position in this battle. It was alive till the end of the battle and I won this battle with this card.

You may be thinking, “A spider already has eight legs… Why Octopider?” For one thing, the Octopider is much larger than a spider, closer to the size of an octopus. It’s legs, although they can scurry like a spider, are actually the tentacles of an octopus. In fact, this monstrosity has nearly all the most terrifying features of both spiders and octopi. The Octopider can move easily in water or on land.

I won this battle. I got 5.037 DEC in rewards and plus 25 rating.

MY STRATEGY

I used Thaddius Brood as my summoner in this battle because of the unprotected rule of the battle. It helped my team by decreasing the 1 health and 1 magic attack of opponent's team. Placed Goblin Mech on the first place by mistake, for the second place I chose Shadow Snitch because of its reach ability and it did great job in the battle. For the third and fourth place used magic monsters and for the 5th and 6th place used monsters with 3 ranged attack each. My 2 monsters were left alive till the last round one is spirit miner and other is octipider.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yes, my strategy worked perfectly in the battle but I wrongly placed Goblin Mech in the first place.

Do you like the SHADOW SNITCH? Why or why not?
Yes, I like the Shadow Snitch. It is good card with reach ability in only 4 mana cap.
