Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. How are you all doing Splinters? Hope you are all doing great.
Its the time of the week again for our Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, and this is my 9th installment of my series, where I share my progress of building my deck in Splinterlands.
The battle continues and its becoming tougher and tougher as the new Conclave Rewards Card has been release. That is why it is necessary to have all the important cards, if not all, and upgrade to improve the performance. This week I was able to add two Legendary and upgraded 3 Common Unit to my Card Collection. I also manage to get some Rare Conclave Rewards Cards at level 2, which is just the right level for my archons.
Lets jump in to my new aquisition and why I get this cards.
✨Welcome to the Family
🔥Rush Townsend
Rush Townsend isa Legendary Unit from Fire Element and Belongs to Rebellion Core Set. It has 4 Range Attack, 1 Armor, 4 Health and 4 Speed. It has the ability of Ambush and Affliction. Being in Fire Element this is a very good card combine with Risqruel Drath for additional 1 Range attack, and another Archons best paired with Rush Townsend is Akane, having the ambush ability already I can add two more units with the same ability surprising the enemy with 3 ambush attack without even starting the battle. And since this Unit has 4 Speed its likely to be in the first to attack again when the round start. This is a damage type card that will need to be protected. In Going the Distance Ruleset, I am not that 100% convince to use Rush Townsend, because when he is the only one left it will not be able to use its attack. Its weakness would be an enemy using a Unit with Return Fire, and should not be use in Fire and Regret Ruleset because of its high damage and low health.
💀Craniax the Quick
Craniax the Quick is a Legendary Unit from Death Element and belongs to Conclave Arcana Core Set. It has 4 Range Attack, 2 Armor, 5 Health and 3 Speed. Its ability is one of the rarest in Splinterlands which is Final Rest and Reckless. Craniax the Quick is more of a counter unit for enemy like Eternal Tofu, not to activate the scavenger ability. But there is one thing to consider using this unit because it has Reckless ability so it will hurt the unit adjacent to him, maybe that is why it is in Death Element so we can take advantage by using Razi Clanktrap's Painforge Ability to Gnome Bloodline. Craniax is useful as well in Back to Basics Ruleset, since it has a high damage, and reckless ability will not trigger but it should be paired with Razi Clanktrap to benefit from Close Range ability. Going the Distance Ruleset is another situation where Craniax the Quick and Razi Clanktrap can work hand in hand, but again, have to consider the Reckless ability. Other ruleset to look into that we can use Craniax the Quick are Collateral Damage and No Pain, No Gain but I feel that Razi Clanktrap is the most suitable Archon to pair it with.
✨Upgrading Some Cards
🌊Steppe Staker
Upgraded my Steppe Staker from Level 1 to Level 3 for additional 1 Health and added Slow Ability, but it was downgraded from 2 Speed into 1. But since it unlocks the Slow ability it will mean a deduction of 1 speed to all enemy unit. Its a Common Card from Conclave Arcana Core Set. This Unit is costly at 7 mana, that is why this is suitable for Going the Distance Ruleset.
🌊Stampeding Calf
Upgraded Stampeding Calf from Level 1 to Level 3 to gain that 1 additional Melee Attack and 1 Health. This Water Unit is also from Conclave Arcana Core Set. This is just a 3 Mana Unit so its easy to squeez in a team. It has Charge Ability so it can attack from any position.
🔥Nimbledook Scout
I upgraded this Unit mainly because I thought it was going to have the Inspire Ability but I was wrong because it will only be unlock at Level 5. But not a bad upgrade afterall, because she gain 1 additional Health and 1 additional Speed. With his Backfire ability plus the 5 Speed an additional Swiftness will make this Unit hard to hit by physical attack. Since this has no attack should be paired with Unit with Weapons Training Ability.
✨A Glimpse at my Conclave Arcana Rewards Card
My Common Rewards Cards are all at Level 3 while my Rare are at Level 2 except for one Pixie-Knife Hurler. I don't have yet Epic and Legendary, need to win more battle this season to accumulate Glint. This New Rewards Cards was a nice addition to my Card Collection, they are very useful in battle and I myself do have some win because of this cards.
