Greetings to all my fellow players around the world and to Splinterlands. How are you all doing Splinters? Hope you are all doing great.
For this weeks Social Media Challenge I would like to share my tournament's performance this month, my profit and battle as well.
This tournament has 50 $DEC entry fee. Its a Modern Novice Level, it means only level 1 card can be use within the modern set. Its a level playing field for everyone, but in reality the low level player like me has the advantage compare to high level player. Lets say a diamond or champion player join this tournament, he is use to playing max level cards, all the stats and ability of cards at max level are unlocked, so when he battle at this novice level tournament he will have a hard time because the cards are back to level 1 where the ability and stats he was use to using in battle is gone.
Once the tournament starts, it has 24 hours to do the battle, its the first round, and 30% will advance. The 2nd round will start the next day and will determine the final rankings and prize payout of the players.
After battling for 2 days I was able to land on third place and bagging 289 $SPS. All the top four has the same prize, thats why I think they should include the 4th placed player in the highlights. Congratulations to our top 2 Splinters they deserve it.

Its a Lorkus Vs Lorkus with only neutral cards available. Basically we have the same strategy, we both grant the life leech ability at our last two cards. Its a head to head match but I manage to pull this win because of Gramel the Hunger. Venka the Vile is good, but he failed to accumulate enough hp at the same time he was being hit also by Gramel the Hunger due to his scatter ability.
The photo above shows my tournament $SPS reward for the month of August. I did well on my two entry while the other three maybe low I still profit from it because the entry fee to of this tournament is just 50 $DEC for novice level and 100 $DEC for bronze level. Overall it was a good run for me this month, I still have one tournament to go later around 7:30pm, a bronze level one. That will be my final battle for this August. Lets wait and see if I can land on top four again😊 and I will update on my next post.
By the way the two big rewards that I got is from modern set tournament, all the low ones are from the wild. So it seems modern set is where Im strong at. On the higher level tournament like silver and above, I don't usually join because the level of my card is only bronze, I will be crash by my enemy easily and I might not get a reward if I fall below the 128 place.
So basically what I am trying to say here is theres a lot of opportunity to earn in Splinterlands. And the tournament is something you can play in just one sitting and just wait. If you are already earning a good sps in different rank format and brawl, tournament can boost earnings. Thats why I encourage especially the new player to find and join the tournament that fits the level of cards that they are using. Aside from rewards its really really fun to battle in tournament.
Theres a lot of things going on right now at Splinterlands, its like I am back again when I just first started Splinterlands wayback 2021. The level of excitement is so high again. But unlike before, it was the hype of nft games and crypto(it was a bullrun by the way), this time its stronger, steadier. Its not just a hype, but rather a clear roadmap of whats ahead. The future is bright for Splinterlands, a true web3 thats stand strong over the years.
The land has become a big part of the game, there are items that only land owner can produce. The promo cards, conflict, frontier format which is crazy right now giving away awesome cards, the twitch airdrop giveaway, and the upcoming mini-set of conclave arcana, though its just a proposal I think it will pass.
By the way the new upadate of higher mana is already in effect so its much more fun to play. And most of all the community. It is the best, though I am reading as well some disagreement, I think its just healthy to have different views.
