Hello, my dear Splinterlanders and Hivers,
Those who reach this post, I wish you a good day.
As many of you already know, a new proposal is on the way in the Splinterlands which is about using low-level cards in high-level battles. Those who will use low-level cards in high-level battles will see a reduction in Rshares of that battle.
The amount of reduction will calculate based on a certain formula.
I wish that the proposal does not get passed due to the fact that this will only facilitate those who have many high-level cards in their collection, i.e the whales aka OG players.
The players like me, who solely rely on rented cards, may see an increase in rental cost (which is already so high for me), due to the fact that we need to rent more high-level cards according to our league.
Besides that, some cards are very good at their low levels in certain rulesets, especially in the 'reverse speed' ruleset.
I use the low-level version of Radiated Brute, Parasitic Growth, Disintegrator, and many more low-level cards in the 'reverse speed' ruleset.
If the proposal gets passed, we'll get fewer Rshares in those battles.
Moving forward, the Splinterlands team brought us another Share Your Battle Challenge and this week's featured monster is DJINN APPRENTICE.

Like the previous challenges, I'll share my strategy, and team combination of the best battle of the week using the Djinn Apprentice in my team.
I'll also share my thoughts about the Djinn Apprentice.
So, read on...

THE LORE
Djinn Apprentices prefer to study under more powerful djinn to hone their magic. While not as strong or cunning as others of their kin, they are just as dangerous to untrained warriors.
When the Chaos Legion arrived, it had a diverse effect on the djinn. Not a unified race by any means, some chose to align with the Chaos Legion, some chose to defend against it, and others chose to go their own path and leave it all behind. Djinn Apprentices chose to align themselves with Djinn Inferni, believing in his mission and his vision.
The Djinn Apprentices kneeled before the powerful form of Djinn Inferni.
The heat of the volcano was immense, but it did not affect these beings of fire and magic.
Djinn Inferni looked across the row. “Djinn Muriat has betrayed our kind. He has aligned himself with the foul Chaos Legion. He has corrupted the name 'djinn' and all it stands for. We will no longer sit in silence as his darkness spreads. It will take all of us to face him. Will you join me?”
“We will!” the Djinn Apprentices exclaimed as one.

BATTLE STATS AND ABILITIES OF THE DJINN APPRENTICE
Before I share my strategy and the battle, let's talk about the stats and abilities of this card.

The Djinn Apprentice is a rare fire unit card from the Chaos Legion edition.
This magic attack card costs 5 mana to use in the battle which makes this card a mid-mana-cost card.
Talking about the abilities, this monster has the 'deathblow' ability activated from level 6. With this ability, this monster does 2X damage if its target is the only monster left on the enemy team.
The stats of this card also increases through levels, from 2 magic attacks, 2 speeds, and, 4 health in level 1, to 3 magic attacks, 3 speeds, and 4 health in level 4.
At the highest level 8, the stats of this card are 4 magic attacks, 4 speeds, and, 5 health.

What Is The Best Ruleset And Summoner To Use Djinn Apprentice ?
As the Djinn Apprentice is a magic attack monster from the fire splinter, therefore, it can be used in any battle except the battles with the 'lost magic' and when the fire splinter is inactive.
This mid-man-cost card has a good amount of magic attacks but is low in health also it doesn't have any armor. So one should protect it from heavy attack.
As it has a good amount of magic attacks, therefore
my preferred way to use this monster with
any fire summoner especially in the 'armored up' ruleset.
Alternatively, this card can be used with the dragon summoner Delwyn Dragonscale.

THE BATTLE
Now, it's time to share my strategy and the lineup for the best battle I won using the Djinn Apprentice in my team.
RULESET

Mana Cap: 54
Equal Opportunity: All monsters have the opportunity ability.
Stampede: The trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled monster is killed.
Active Splinter: Fire, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon.

My Strategy and Team Setup
Though I'm not comfortable with using magic attack monsters from the fire splinter, this is because I use fire splinter mainly in melee attack-based battles.
For the sake of the battle challenge, I combined it with Delwyn Dragonscale and the other magic attack monsters.
So, here's my team -

Now, when my team is ready, let the battle begin...

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked great in this battle.
Using a 'slow' debuff monster Diamond Dragon and a 'swiftness' ability monster Spirit Miner is the winning point of this battle because one of the rulesets was 'equal opportunity'.
My monsters attacked first on the weakest monsters of the enemy team and eliminated a few of them before they can strike any attack.
Diamond Dragon did great with his 'blast' ability and did additional damage to the enemy team while healing himself during the battle.
The enemy's Chaos Dragon performed well and dealt great damage to my team but couldn't stand against the massive magic attack of the Caladuum and was destroyed in the final round.
This brings me victory.

A Few Words About The Djinn Apprentice
I found the Djinn Apprentice not so useful due to its low health. As you can see it got destroyed in only one blow from the enemy monster.
And the 'deathblow', the only ability it has, I couldn't find any specific ruleset either where this ability can be useful.
So, overall, it's a less-useful cad for me.
