Hey there good peoples of Splinterlands,
How are you all doing today?
I hope everything is going great with you all...
It's time for another Share Your Battle Challenge and this week's featured monster is MAGI OF CHAOS.
Like the previous challenges, I'll share my strategy, and team combination of the best battle this week using the Magi Of Chaos in my team.
I'll also share my thoughts about the Magi Of Chaos.
So, read on...

THE LORE

“The void whispered to us in the dreams of children. The Magus was the first to realize their significance. Answers came slowly.
In bits and pieces, he stitched the threads of their rambling screams to complete the work. It was only after the first successful transmutation that the veil began to tear and the void in the dark could reveal itself to us.
It was they that spoke to us in nightmares. It was they that answered our prayers, solving the riddle of the crypteia and opening the way for those beyond. They offered so much and asked for so little in return, a simple sacrifice of blood and bone and the power of chaos would be ours.”
-- Oleus Invodor, Children of Doom

BATTLE STATS AND ABILITIES OF THE MAGI Of CHAOS
Before I share my strategy and the battle, let's talk about the stats and abilities of this card.

The Magi Of Chaos is an epic neutral unit card from the Chaos Legion edition.
This magic attack card costs 6 mana to use in the battle which makes this card a mid-mana-cost card.
Talking about the abilities, this monster has the 'oppress' ability activates from level 5. With this ability, this monster does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attack.
The stats of this card also increases through levels, from 2 magic attacks, 2 speeds, and, 5 health in level 1, to 3 magic attacks, 2 speeds, and 6 health in level 3.
At the highest level 6, the stats of this card are 4 magic attacks, 2 speeds, and, 7 health.

What Is The Best Ruleset And Summoner To Use Magi Of Chaos ?
As the Magi Of Chaos is a magic attack monster and a neutral one, therefore, it can be used in any battle except the battles with the 'lost magic' and 'taking sides' rulesets.
This mid-man-cost card has a good amount of health and magic attack and any magic attack buff summoner can increase its attack power.
About the summoner to use with this card, my preferred summoners are Alric Stormbringer or Delwyn Dragonscale.
My preferred way to use this card is
with Alric Stormbringer as the summoner and five other magic attack cards, the Djinn Oshannus as the tank, Ruler Of The Seas, Venari Wavesmith, and Captain's Ghost.

THE BATTLE
Now, it's time to share my strategy and the lineup for the best battle I won using the Magi Of Chaos in my team.
RULESET

Mana Cap: 60
Heavy Hitters: All monsters have the knock-out ability.
Melee Mayhem: Melee attack monsters can attack from any position.
Active Splinter: Water, Life, Dragon.

My Strategy and Team Setup
Though one of the rulesets was the 'melee mayhem', I choose a different approach and decided to create a magic-attack-based team.
SUMONNER
Delwyn Dragonscale

Using Delwyn Dragonscale as the summoner, was the obvious choice for me as I intended to use Diamond Dragon to slow down the enemy team.
1st Position
Djinn Oshannus

I took Djinn Oshannus as the tank because of its 'phase' and 'forcefield' ability.
You'll find it when you watch the battle in real-time that the 'phase' ability of the Djinn Oshannus played a vital role to win this battle as the enemy monsters missed several attacks due to this 'phase' ability.
2nd Position
Nerissa Tridawn

In the second position, I placed Nerissa Tridawn as the main attacker of this team because she has the highest magic-attack point.
3rd Position
Magi Of Chaos

In the third position, I placed our featured monster the Magi Of Chaos.
4th Position
Ruler Of The Seas

Ruler Of The Seas placed in the fourth position. This monster played a vital role in this battle because of its 'blast' and 'swiftness' ability.
5th Position
Spirit Miner

Then, in fifth place, I placed the Spirit Miner. Another very useful card with 'swiftness', 'blind', and 'dodge' ability that forced the enemy monsters to miss their attacks.
6th Position
Diamond Dragon

In the last position, I placed the Diamond Dragon because of its high armor and 'flying' ability so that the enemy's 'sneak' attack cards most probably miss their attacks.

Apart from the above-shared battle, I fought these battles too where the Magi Of Chaos played a vital role in winning the battle.
Feel free to check them out -

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked absolutely stunning in this battle.
Due to the 'slow' debuff effect, my enemy team turned slowest as crawling. On the other hand, due to the 'swiftness' ability of monsters, my team was the fastest possible.
Djinn Oshannus act as an excellent tank due to his 'phase' ability and the 'blind' ability of Spirit Miner, the enemy monsters missed several attacks.
Ruler Of The Seas dealt additional damage because of its 'blast' ability and in the meantime, decrease the magic attacks of the enemy monsters with its 'silence' ability.
The Magi Of Chaos also dealt several damage to the enemy team.
Though my opponent used Grandmaster Rathe as the summoner and high armor monsters, his strategy didn't work against my 'fastest and strongest' magic attack team.
And I tasted victory again.

A Few Words About The Magi Of Chaos
Though the Magi Of Chaos has only one ability and the use-cases of that ability are limited, still, Magi Of Chaos is a very useful card.
6 mana cost makes this card useful for any mid to high mana-cap battles.
Its good amount of health and magic attack point can be game-changers for certain battles.
I use Magi Of Chaos in 8 out of 10 magic attack-based battles.
