Winning A Nail Biting Battle | In Search Of A Low Mana Cost Tank I Found The Molten Ash Golem.

in Splinterlandslast year (edited)

Hey there good people of Hive and Splinterlands,
First of all, I wish you a good day to those who have reached this post.

Splinterlands keeping me pretty busy these days. I try to play at least 50-55 battles a day (with two accounts), some days more. And then managing the rented cards on PeakMonsters is really a hectic job these days.
For these reasons, I missed posting the previous few challenges.
I'm not a writing material, but from now on, I'll post these two challenges at least, the social media challenge and the share your battle challenge.

Moving forward, this week's Share Your Battle Challenge is about the MOLTEN ASH GOLEM.

Like the previous challenges, I'll share my thoughts about the Molten Ash Golem and describe my strategy, and team combination of the best battle of the week using the Molten Ash Golem in my team.

So, read on...

THE LORE

The Molten Ash Golems are birthed from a creature known as the Forgotten One. Created by the High Magus of the Crypteia and serving as his personal servant, the Forgotten One is a fiery beast of might and malice.

The Forgotten One's great power sometimes spills over, leaving trails of molten ash in its wake. And within these beats the strong enchantments the Magus originally put on his Forgotten One. Within a day, these piles of burning ash become sentient.

Rising from the ground and forming into loose humanoid shapes, these Molten Ash Golems have only one desire. Find their creator. They will travel the lands searching for the Forgotten One, never tiring and never needing to stop. Once reunited with their source, they serve faithfully for as long as they continue to burn.
The Molten Ash Golem shifted through the rugged mountain slopes. Leaving a burning trail behind it, it was driven on by the desire deep within the mana that fueled it. To find its creator and to serve.

The golem crested a boulder-strewn ridge and saw a lone figure standing only a few yards away. A towering creature of charcoal with burning magma lines running through it. It hefted an enormous sword easily in one hand. The golem knew what it was. The source of its own sentience. The Forgotten One.

The dark figure turned to stare at the Molten Ash Golem. And then it spoke in an echoing, deep voice.

“Come. The Magus calls for us.”

The golem followed.

BATTLE STATS AND ABILITIES OF THE MOLTEN ASH GOLEM

Molten Ash Golem Stats.png

The Molten Ash Golem is a rare fire unit card from the Chaos Legion edition.
This ranged attack card costs 6 mana to use in the battle which makes this card a mid-mana-cost card.
Talking about the abilities, this monster has the 'close range' ability from level 1. With this ability, this ranged attack monster can attack from the first position.
On level 5, this monster gains the 'weaken' ability. With this ability, this monster reduces the health of all the enemy monsters.
On level 8, the 'demoralize' ability gets activated. With this ability, this monster reduces the melee attack of all the enemy monsters.
The stats of this card also increases through levels, from 1 ranged attack, 1 speed, and, 9 health in level 1, to 2 ranged attacks, 2 speeds, and 9 health in level 5.
At the highest level 8, the stats of this card are 3 ranged attacks, 2 speeds, and, 10 health.

THE BATTLE

Now, it's time to share my strategy and the lineup for the best battle I won using the Molten Ash Golem in my team.

RULESET

Ruleset.png

Mana Cap: 99
Rulesets :-
Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit armor before reducing health.
Heavy Hitters: All monsters have the knock-out ability.
Active Splinter: Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death.

My Strategy and Team Setup

I intended to play with the fire splinter but was lacking a mid-mana-cost melee attack tank card that has a good amount of health.
Then I thought, why not use a 'close range' card with a good amount of health. And Molten Ash Golem was the best card for this purpose.
So this was my team -

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy worked perfectly in this battle.
First of all, I was not sure about my winning in this battle for obvious reason.
Conqueror Jacek is a strong summoner and two of my high attack monster got killed early and some of my monsters missed a few attacks too.
But my opponent has this one disadvantage that he used three ranged attacks and those too are low in health. That's why, his last monster, which was a ranged attack monster, remained idle in the first position.
Another key point of winning of this battle was consistency of attack. Majority of my monsters were sneak attack monsters and their attacks are consistant but the summoner Conqueror Jacek made the attack of the enemy team scattered and the damage dealt by them was spreaded.
That's why few of monsters survived despite they have low health.
Overall, because of this good strategy, I won the battle.

The Golem is a very good card that a splinterlans player must be missing, I have had the privilege of playing with it and it has helped me in the most crucial moments of the game, without a doubt a very good card.-

Yeah, it's indeed a very useful card.
