It's not new... I think the presale was in 2022. And it's created by a third-party team (Double Coconut), and now sold to them, no longer Splinterlands' game.
Not related to soulbound cards. It is a tower defense game.

Yeah, same here. I am glad I didn't buy more, given the delay on this one. Although, let's be fair, we do receive SPS rewards on our packs until the game launches.
