Greetings friend lovers of NFT play2ern, especially to the great Splinterlands family. The rebellion is here, after a long time battling with the legion of Chaos, in comes a new edition of cards and here I tell you what it's all about.
Since its launch Splinterlands has minted and released 4 editions of cards as such, Alpha, Beta, Umtamed and Chaos Legion, in addition to the gladius cards that has a connotation of exclusivity.
After several years, a very ambitious edition is coming and it will introduce some changes to the game, due to the changes introduced in the cards themselves, represented in new abilities and the multi-element summoners.
Pre sales...
The first thing I want to tell you is that the pre-sale of the rebellion packs has started, you can enter the game store and buy your packs; the pre-sale will last for 30 days or until the packs are sold out, but for the date of this publication there are 28 days left of pre-sale.
The collection will consist of 96 cards, each pack will contain 5 cards and if you buy in the pre-sale you will have the chance to participate for some prizes.
Exclusive letters...
One of the advantages of buying in the pre-sale is that you have the possibility of getting one of the exclusive promotional cards, since these cards will only be present in the pre-sale packs, once the pre-sale is over these exclusive cards will not be in the normal sale packs once the pre-sale is over.
So if you want to be part of that select group that will get one of the exclusive promotional cards you must participate and compare your booster packs in this pre-sale.
Packages, discounted prices and more....
The rebellion edition will put on sale about 500.000 packs of cards, at the beginning of the pre-sale, by the time of this publication there are a little less than half of them left, and each pack will cost 5000 Merits, or 5000 DEC.
The pre-sale is also arranged in batches, so if you buy 100 packs or more you get a 5% discount bonus, buying 500 packs or more the discount bonus is 10% and if you buy 1000 packs or more then you get a 15% discount bonus for your purchase.

In addition to all the new features that this edition of cards brings, there is a chance to become a legend as those who are among the first six pack buyers will have the opportunity to participate directly in the design of a legendary summoner of this edition, a chance to become a legend of this game forever.
New skills...
One of the novelties that rebellion brings is the incorporation of new skills never seen in previous editions, part of the revolution that brings the new edition, and here I leave you the description of the new skills taken directly from the Splinterland website.
ARMORED STRIKE
"Any unit with this ability gains an ADDITIONAL Melee attack using its Armor stat."
"This allows characters to improvise with deadly force, using their gauntlets, shields, helmets, or perhaps physical attributes (spikes, hard shells, etc) as weapons!"
CORROSIVE WARD
"When hit with a Melee attack, a unit with this ability does 2 damage to the attacker's armor AND reduces the max armor of the attacker by 2."
"This is the nemesis to the Repair ability. You can't repair something that's been melted into acidic goo!"
FLANK
"If the unit with this ability is in the first position, then the unit in the second position gains the Reach ability.
"Prepare to leverage positioning and the element of surprise. Now your first two units can work together to bring down the enemy tank!"
LOOK OUT
"A unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity."
"Give your team a heads-up when stalkers approach from the shadows. It's always a good idea to have a lookout!"
Renovation...
The new elements that this edition brings, forces players to rethink their strategies and adopt new game tactics to be effective in battles, the fact of being able to have dual element summoners, makes that in each battle the player has the possibility to call to battle cards of different elements something that could only be done with neutral element, however this rewrites the gameplay and it is necessary a renewal in the commonly used tactics, this seems to me something exciting.
