Today in splinterlands I learned: Don't stick to one splinter

in Splinterlands3 years ago

I have been playing for a few days so I'll try to catch up on my experiences and small learnings here and there, but basically I wanted to make this blog because there were lots of things off the bat that struck me as different from splinterlands and also trying to understand the game and how best to play it and its just cool to share impressions of the game as a new player and learning more about it.

/Dont stick to one splinter/
At first I definitely wanted to main a splinter and just play that one exclusively, I did that mostly for my early games in novice but the longer I kept playing the more this wasn't really possible. This may be more obvious for veteran players but for a newbie like me I thought that I could practice and play one type of splinter, and eventually climb with just that. Unfortunately I realized that that wasn't possible and eventually got my butt handed to me. I mained the Life splinter for a good 10-20 games and utilized the sneak keyword along with Silver Shield knight's inspire to give +1 physical attack.

I did later on get destroyed by an Alric and a magic heavy build. The zerg rush of magic attacks quickly destroyed my Silvershield knight or whatever tank I could put and my sneaks couldn't eliminate the Flyers in the back.

At this point I just tried different splinters and found some success. I favored using Fire splinters Cerberus or Living Lava, as well as doing the same and running an Alric magic rush. But yea day 1 and I say don't stick to one splinter, explore and play the game

That's it for today, thanks for reading! Hope ya'll are doing good right now amidst difficult times.
