Splinterlands is an incredible strategy game, but for those of us who love the art, the lore, and the thrill of completing a set, the current tools are purely utilitarian. We view our cards as stats on a battlefield or assets in a market. It’s time to view them as a Collection.
I am proud to propose The Alt Art Vault—a third-party companion app designed to turn your Hive wallet into a high-fidelity Digital Trophy Case.

The Alt Art Vault is not a game client. It is a dedicated gallery designed to visualize your assets in a way the battle client cannot.
- High-Definition Assets: View uncompressed, high-res vector art.
- Parallax Effects: Gyroscope-enabled "3D shimmy" effects for Gold Foil and Special variants (similar to Marvel Snap or premium digital TCGs).
- Lore Integration: Deep metadata integration, pulling artist bios and lore directly from the source.

💎 The Progression: From Bronze to Emerald
Collecting shouldn't be binary (Owned vs. Not Owned). The Vault introduces a Client-Side Mastery System to gamify your holding experience:
The Emerald Tier: A Vault-Exclusive Visual Upgrade.
If you own the Gold Foil version of a card plus complete a specific "Artist Set" or collection requirement, the Vault unlocks the Emerald Tier. This applies a stunning, client-side visual shader (particle effects and animated borders) to the card within your gallery. It is the ultimate flex for true collectors.
Note: This does not alter the NFT or gameplay stats. It is a visual achievement layer within the Vault app only.
🤝 The Utility: The "Perfect Match" Trade Engine
We are stripping away the noise of currency. The Vault is not a marketplace; it is a Barter Discovery Engine.
Using our Smart Wishlist algorithm, the app facilitates peer-to-peer trading by finding the "Double Coincidence of Wants":
- You mark cards you Need for a set.
- You mark duplicates you Have for trade.
- The Algorithm finds a "Perfect Match"—another user who has exactly what you need and needs exactly what you have.
We provide the intelligence to connect collectors. The settlement happens safely via standard Hive transfers or third-party escrow tools.
📅 Daily Engagement Hooks
"Daily Oracle" Trivia: A daily lore question based on a random card.Set of the Day: Highlights a specific card set (e.g., "The Chaos Legion Fire Splinter"). Users who hold this complete set get a temporary "Featured Collector" badge on their profile for 24 hours.
🗳️ Community Curation
Style Voting: Users can vote on their favorite art styles or "Dream Reskins." This data serves as community feedback on what kind of art represents the player base's taste.🏆 Permanent Glory: Badges & Achievements
The Vault tracks Player History.
Did you complete the Chaos Legion Fire Splinter set? Did you collect every card in a specific set ALPHA? You earn a Permanent Mastery Badge on your Vault Passport. These badges never expire and contribute to your global Collector Score.
⚠️ Technical Stance & Safety
Transparency is key to our development philosophy:
- Unofficial Companion: This is a third-party tool not currently associated with the official Splinterlands team.
- Client-Side Only: All visual upgrades (Emerald Tier) are local to the app and do not affect official gameplay.
- Safety First: The app operates in Read-Only Mode for browsing. Active features use Hive Keychain to verify ownership. We never ask for private keys.
- No Fiat/Purchases: There are no in-app purchases. This is a tool for trading and collecting, not spending. Read-Only Mode: Allows non-login browsing.
This concept is for the collectors, the art lovers and the completionists. We want to bring the feeling of a physical card binder to the Hive blockchain.
