I've been venturing into the world of blockchain games for some time, although I only started sharing this in posts this year. Among some options I have as an investment + fun while playing, Splinterlands is possibly somewhere in my TOP 5 #Play2Earn games.
Splinterlands has offered an interesting card collection-based gameplay dynamic since its launch, where strategic battles and deck building are crucial components for success, along with some limitations and rules to consider in battles. But what really caught my attention and will be my focus for the next crypto bull run are the Lands, possibly the best form of passive income in Splinterlands.

For those unfamiliar, Lands in Splinterlands are assets in the form of territories that players can own and use for various in-game activities. Each Land has its own set of resources and production potential, which can offer several advantages and opportunities for the owner.
My decision to focus exclusively on Lands in the coming months was not made immediately; it came through some research and more research in posts through Hive. Even though ranked battles and guild brawls are exciting and challenging aspects of the game, I feel that Lands represent a unique and long-term opportunity to expand my presence and influence within Splinterlands, besides saving the little time I have to manage my things in blockchain games.
One of the main reasons for this shift in focus is the prospect of generating passive income through Lands. In Splinterlands, owning lands allows you to produce valuable resources that can be used to create items and spells, or even be sold on the market. This adds an extra layer of strategy and management to the game, something I've always appreciated in building and development games.
Furthermore, Lands offer the possibility of customization and development over time. Each territory can be improved and expanded, increasing its productivity and value. This aspect of progressive growth reminds me of classic city-building and resource management games, of which I've always been a fan, like Tribal Wars and SimCity. The feeling of seeing something you built from scratch flourish and become an important part of the game's universe is incredibly rewarding.
My initial strategy for investing in Lands involves a few well-defined steps, but this will only be possible once my cryptocurrency investment portfolio increases by a profit margin of 15% or more, as I am avoiding losses at the moment. First, I plan to acquire a considerable amount of land in strategic regions of the Splinterlands map.
Another interesting aspect of Lands is the integration with the game's overall economy. Lands are not just an isolated addition; they interact with other game elements, such as monster cards and resources needed for battles. This level of interconnection offers numerous possibilities for creating synergies and strategies that can provide significant competitive advantages. For example, owning certain monster cards can increase production efficiency on your lands, or you may need specific resources from your lands to upgrade your cards and battle skills. This complex integration is something I look forward to exploring further, as I believe understanding these dynamics can provide a substantial advantage in the game.
The decision to temporarily put ranked battles and guild brawls on the back burner is strategic. While these activities are fun and challenging, they require significant time and effort that I currently prefer to dedicate to developing my lands. However, this does not mean that I am completely abandoning these parts of the game. I will continue to participate in battles and guild brawls occasionally, especially when there are events or special rewards worth it.
I am confident that this shift in focus to Lands will be beneficial in the long run. I believe that Lands have the potential to become a vital and profitable part of the Splinterlands ecosystem, and I want to be at the forefront of this evolution. Additionally, the experience of managing and developing lands can provide me with new perspectives and skills that will be useful in other aspects of the game.
