I do believe that the EOS relies on a lot of luck and most of the time, you just don't hit it. The deck building process is expensive so it's best to just go slowly over it. There are markets that give you back a portion of your purchase if you choose to buy individual cards off the market.

It's totally dependent on luck like you've mentioned and sometimes people who have invested decently tends to hit it even bigger with luck. I don't know about the other markets that gives one back a portion of their purchase though, I think I'll check it out, growing a deck can be expensive

For example, monstermarket gives you back 60% of what they get in fees. So there are some marketplaces that are better to buy from compared to others.
