Splinterlands is a complex game and it allows for various different cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various different rulesets applied and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle that I had and it's about the card Immortalis.
Featured Cards
Immortalis is a summoner effects give -1 health, void, and the shatter ability. Leveling up this card allows you to place higher level cards and I have mine at level 2. It's a very good summoner as it reduces magic damage and helps remove armor through the shatter ability.
Rule set, Battle and Plan
The ruleset this time is Fog of War, Armored Up, and Taking Sides. This means that no neutral monsters can be used and all monsters start with +2 armor. All monsters also lose the snipe. opportunity, and sneak ability. There is also 57 mana and I have the choice of fire, earth, death, or dragon splinter.
Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
---|---|---|---|
Immortalis | 6 | Summoner | -1 Health, Void and Shatter |
Mycelic Infantry | 8 | 1st | Shield |
Lord Thanalor | 12 | 2nd | |
Beatrix Ironhand | 6 | 3rd | Close Range |
Runemancer Florre | 13 | 4th | Duo magic and ranged damage |
Hunter Jarx | 6 | 5th | |
Satha Toledo | 5 | 6th | Tank Heal |
Total Mana: | 56 |
I start off with Mycelic Infantry as my tank because of the shield ability and along with the void from my summoner, it should survive long enough for me to deal some damage. After that is a backup tank with Lord Thanalor. Then I have my ranged monsters after. Beatrix acts as another backup tank with close range and Runemancer Florre can also take some hits but it has duo magic and ranged damage. I also have a monster with tank heal to heal up my monsters.
Round 1
At first glance, I have an advantage in this match because of my summoner. My opponent can add up in damage if I am unlucky but I believe in my lineup to deal enough damage. The only worrying thing is those ranged monsters because of weapons training.
Round 2
I took out the first monster and my enemies Quora has lost a lot of its health. Despite the lowered speed, none of my monsters missed and my opponent hasn't done too much damage to my own lineup.
Round 3
I killed another two monsters and one of them was Quora. So at this stage, I have this match won. I can heal up the damage taken so there is no chance of my opponent killing me.
I was able to win the match later that round as I expected.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. Immortalis did a great job of keeping my monsters alive and the shatter made it much easier to kill off my opponent. In the end, my opponent couldn't do much as I slowly took out his monsters, and my opponent's Quora wasn't able to do much either.
You can see my entire match here.
What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

Thanks
The shatter and void makes the immoralis really dangerous, I've played Quora against the imortalis in the past and my lineup was slaughtered.
You took out the Quora quicker and from there you secured the win
Immortalis is a natural counter to Quora and I am glad that I took it out early.
I’m glad you won the fights
Keep it up!
