Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about the new Conclave Arcana Reward Set that will replace the current cards in the glint shop.
Conclave Arcana Reward Set
There is an announcement post for the new reward set here, but I will mention some of the key points in this section. According to the post, there will be 43 new cards, and they will be broken down as below:
- 12 common cards
- 12 rare cards
- 7 epics
- 12 legendary cards
From what I see, the number of cards that are in the new set is about the same as what we currently have in the current Rebellion Reward Set. The cards still come from the Glint Reward Shop and reward chests. The black foils and arcane cards come from the newly added Fortune Draws. The Glint from burning cards will also stay the same as the current set. These cards will have no production power, and they also can't be used in conflicts. I don't have any land, so this last point doesn't bother me.
One thing to note is that the Glint shop is getting more expensive for the draws. From what I have seen, the cost for each reward draw will double. They have also removed the gold foil drawings. I think they increased the cost to reduce the amount of cards being printed, but it still hurts to see the cost go up so much. Other than that, most things stay the same, and the weekly fortune draw requires a pass (costs DEC) each week, and you can do things in-game to get tickets.
Which part of the new Conclave Arcana Reward system excites you most?
I think the most exciting part of the new reward system will be the new cards. It will be interesting to see the new abilities and monsters that we get for each new Splinter type. I haven't maxed out my decks, but I still find it much more satisfying to level up cards as I get them. As of recently, my deck isn't very high level, so the increased options of cards to use in Modern battles will help me. I am lacking quite a few Conclave Arcana cards, so I am relying on my Rebellion and reward cards to carry me through right now.
How do you think it will change the ranked meta?
I think that there will be quite a few changes. The new abilities, when combined with the different Archons and bloodline abilities, will make things hard to predict. Who knows if there are some deadly combinations, because I first started playing during Chaos Legion, and Yodin Zaku was so deadly back then. There are quite a few strong combinations right now in modern, and I can see that changing with these new reward cards. You have no choice but to adapt if you want to increase your win rate in battles.
Conclusion
There are quite a few changes happening with the new reward set. To recap, the number of cards are staying the same, but the cost of draws will be doubled in the Glint shop. There will also be no more gold foil draws, and there is a new weekly fortune drawing. I think the new cards will bring some variations in the battles we see, and it will take time to gather and figure out what type of new strategies will work the best.

The new Conclave Arcana set looks very cool, higher Glint cost hurts, but fresh cards will probably make the game more interesting.
It will be interesting but I am not looking forward to the increased cost of getting cards. I will be saving up so I can get a few cards at the start of it to use in modern.

I think the GF cards will be worth and valuable, i plan to do some draws and sell them in case

I think the new Conclave Arcana Reward Set is definitely a new chapter for Splinterlands. Most importantly, the addition of 43 new cards will bring a great variety to the game's strategy and battle dynamics.
