⚔️ Day 39 in Splinterlands: Reaching Silver II and Unlocking Major Chests

in Splinterlands23 days ago

It’s been 39 days since I made my return to Splinterlands, and today was one of the most memorable sessions so far. After focusing mostly on the Modern Format, I finally climbed my way to Silver II.

I’ll be honest—the climb from Bronze into Silver was smoother than I expected, but staying in Silver is a whole different challenge. Back in Bronze, it felt like I could win my way up the ladder with just a few strong splinters and some lucky rentals. But here in Silver League, the competition is way tougher. Players here know their strategies, bring in leveled cards, and punish even the smallest mistake.

While I’m happy about hitting Silver II, my win rate dropped drastically. In Bronze, I was often able to cruise with a 50–60% win rate. Now in Silver, I’m barely holding at around 30%. Some days it feels like every opponent has the perfect counter for whatever lineup I put down.

Still, I see this as part of the journey. The higher I climb, the better my opponents get, and that means I need to learn faster, improve my team synergy, and think more carefully about card positioning and rulesets.

The best part of today was definitely the rewards. Alongside reaching Silver II, I collected a decent amount of loot that kept me motivated.

But what really stood out was my Glint earnings. After today’s grind, I managed to accumulate 6,000 Glint, which I quickly exchanged for 6 Major Chests.

Opening those Major Chests gave me that familiar rush of excitement—the kind of thrill that makes Splinterlands more than just a strategy game. Each chest feels like a chance to turn the grind into something meaningful, whether it’s more cards, potions, or other useful boosts for my deck.

Playing in Silver II showed me just how important card leveling and synergy really are. In Bronze, I could still get by with uncombined commons and a few rentals. In Silver, the difference between a Level 1 card and a Level 3 card is massive.

Also, I realized that I can’t just stick to one comfort splinter anymore. To survive here, I’ll need flexibility across different elements, and maybe start considering more focused rentals at the beginning of each season.

My Next thing to do:

  1. Level up some of my duplicate common cards from Glint draws

  2. Keep tracking rewards and SPS earnings for long-term growth

  3. Aim for Silver I before the season ends—if my win rate allows it

While I can’t deny how tough Silver feels, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made in less than 40 days. From struggling to get out of Bronze III to now opening Major Chests in Silver II, the grind has been worth it.

Next stop: Silver I, and maybe—just maybe—my first step into Gold League someday.
