This week I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I got one of my favorite ruleset to play with, where all the Melee attack monsters were able to fight behind from the tank. 😊

Hope you will enjoy the battle like I did! πŸ˜‡

RulesetDescription
Melee MayhemMelee attack Monsters can attack from any position.
Broken ArrowsRanged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.
High FiveYou can summon maximum of 5 units.

The mana cap was 22, which is not much at all and it will be important to take advantage of the Summoner skills and either use a lot of low mana cost monsters or one or two higher mana cost key monsters. πŸ˜•

One of the ruleset was the Broken Arrows, which means that all the Ranged attack monsters will be banned from this battle, so I had to think a bit more differently than usual.

Luckily the Melee Mayhem ruleset was available in this battle, which means that I was able to take advantage of the fact that all the Melee attack monsters were able to attack from my backline. That is why I picked the best Summoner to support this strategy! 😁

The High Five ruleset is not a big problem here, because the mana cap is too small anyway, so even if my wanted to pick more monsters it would be really difficult, because of the lack of mana.

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Tarsa

image.png

Tarsa cost only four mana and her special ability is to increase the Health and Melee attack of her friendly monsters by one, which makes her an excellent choice for the Melee Mayhem ruleset. 😁

Main Tank
Halfling Refugee
image.png

The Halfling Refugee cost only one mana and if you look at his stats he looks a bit too overpowered, so he has a huge weakness, which is his Weary ability, which means that he has 10% to became Exhausted in every round and this chance will be increased by 10% over and over. As soon as he trigger his Exhaust he will skip his turn and won't be able to even retaliate the enemy attacks. 😜

The First Weapon Trainee
Iidri Fyre
image.png

The Iidry Fyre doesn't have any attack on its own, so she will be the perfect candidate for my Ferexian Hero who has the Weapons Trainer ability. This way my Fyre would receive his Melee attack, which will be further boosted by Tarsa making her an excellent tank for only six mana.

She also has the Taunt ability, so all the enemy monsters will attack him if they can and also when she dies her Redemption ability will blow all the enemies up by one damage. 😁

The Weapons Trainer
Ferexian Hero
image.png

The Ferexian Hero is an amazing Fire monster who cost eight mana, whic his quite a lot, but at least his Weapons Trainer ability will be able to turn his adjacent monsters into damage dealers, which is just insane. He also has the Reach ability, but that is not necessary in the Melee Mayhem ruleset, because he will be able to attack from my backline anyway. πŸ˜‡

The Second Weapon Trainee
Scavo Chemist
image.png

The Scavo Chemist cost only two mana and such he has no attacks on its own and possess only the Cleanse ability, which will remove all the magic debuffs from the monster in the first position.

The Ferexian Hero is a huge help making my Scavo to a beast who will be able to deal huge amoung of Melee attack damage thanks to the Melee Mayhem ruleset. πŸ€—

Budget Damage Dealer
Flame Monkey
image.png

The Flame Monkey cost only one mana and he has at least one Melee attack damage, which will be increased to two thanks to Tarsa. As an extra two damage from the back of my lineup is always welcomed. πŸ˜‹

My opponent brought the Franz Ruffmane who is a Life Summoner and his ability is to give +1 Armor to all of his monsters, which is good to block one Melee attack entirely. On top of that he has the ability to bring and additional Gladiator monster into this battle, whom are pretty strong monsters. 😏

My opponent had a similar idea like me bringing also a monster with the Weapons Trainer ability, but their Aves Sturgis who provides this ability to his monsters are a Magic one, so his adjacent monsters became also Magic attack monsters. πŸ€“

In the first round all of the enemy monsters started attacking my Iidry Fyre, because he had the **Taunt ability, but before they managed to kill her my team killed their Pelacor Conjurer who was well protected against Magic attacks, but almost nothing against our Melee ones! 😁

Iidry almost survived the first round, but sadly their Nimbledook Explorer had a very interesting ability, which is the Armored Strike and that means if he still has Armor he can also attack with that amount killing my Iidry at the end of the first round.

My monsters were a bit quicker, so in the second round my team killed their Refugee quickly before he was able to attack.

Soon after my Refugee also died and his killer Helmet Kharafax managed to activate his Bloodlust ability to increase all of his stats by one. 😜

Luckily he also died as soon as my Melee attackers targeted him and even their Sturgis died in the following round.

By the end of the fourth round only their Explorer left in their team, who easily killed my Ferexian Hero with his double attack. πŸ˜’

It was a very dangerous situation for both of us, but luckily my Scavo was quicker than him and with his four attack he removed his Armor, so he was not able to attack twice only with his two Magic, which was not enough to kill my last two monster.

It was an exciting battle, where both sides had their chance to win and with a bit more careful placement of the enemy monsters I think he would have higher chance to win instead of me. πŸ˜‰
