This week I brought a Wild Ranked battle, which was quite difficult to setup, because of the rulesets. There was two reflect ability on all the monsters on the battlefield out of the three, so it will be interesting to see how the monsters will kill each other. πŸ˜…

RulesetDescription
Briar PatchAll units have the Thorns ability.
Holy ProtectionAll units have the Divine Shield ability.
CounterspellAll units have the Magic Reflect ability.

The mana cap was 94, which is amazing and I like it a lot, because I can start thinking about any kind of strategy in order to solve the problem with the rulesets.

The Holy Protection ruleset is quite good, because it will give the Divine Shield ability to all the monsters, which means that they will be able to block one incoming attack entirely. 😁

The Briar Patch and the Counterspell rulesets will work the same way and the only difference is that the first one will reflect the Melee attacks back to their attacker and the second will reflect the Magic attacks. πŸ˜‰

The reflected Melee damage will be two physical damage back to the attacker and the Magic damage will be always 50% (rounded up) against the attacker! πŸ˜‹

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Pembrook Nymph

image.png

The Pembrook Nymph is a Water Summoner, which is one of my favorite, because they have quite a lot of versatile monsters. She cost exactly six mana, which is not that cheap (except in this battle) and in return she gives +1 Health to all of her monsters and on top of that she will be able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which are one of the most powerful monsters if they are able to start killing their target. 😊

Main Tank
Commander Slade
image.png

Commander Slade became a very strong and resilient as a tank, because he has quite a lot of Melee attack and also very high Speed and the Dodge ability, which will allow him to get +25% chance to dodge more incoming Melee and Ranged attacks.

On top of that he has a lot of Armor and Health, which will help him to sustain quite a lot of damage. He cost 10 mana, which is crazy expensive, but the mana cap was good to be able to bring him as my tank.

He also has the Enfeeble ability, which means that he will reduce his target Melee attack by one with each of his succesfull attack. πŸ˜‰

The Gladiator
Relenor Cleaver
image.png

The Relenor Cleaver is a very important monster in my lineup, because apart from his stats, which is pretty strong already he is a Gladiator monster and such he has the Bloodlust ability, which means that he is able to increase all of his stats by one permanently whenever he kills his target!

He is a monster with the Reach ability, so he will be able to attack from my second position and that is why he cost nine mana, which is quite a lot, but worth it. 😁

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Double Striker
Drybone Raider
image.png

The Drybone Raider is a monster that is worth upgrading, because it will increase his Ranged attack to two, so it will be equal with his Melee attack. He has the Double Strike ability, which means that he is able to attack twice from the first position or in a battle, when the rulesets give him Sneak or the Opportunity ability. πŸ€—

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Protector
Djinn Oshannus
image.png

The Djinn Oshannus cost 8 mana, so he is not that cheap, but he is an all time favorite thanks to his amazing protective abilities.

He has the Void ability, which will reduce the damage from all of the Magic attacks targetin him. His Phase ability will allow him to dodge Magic attacks as well just like the Ranged and Melee attacks. His last ability is Forcefield, which means that this monster will take only one damage from attacks with power five or more. πŸ’ͺ

These abilities and his huge amount of Speed and Health will makes him the perfect off-tank for any battle in case my frontline dies and need someone to protect my Ranged attack monsters behind him. He also has decent Magic attack damage as well, so he is not just sitting idle in the middle of my lineup. πŸ˜‡

The Repairer
Swamp Spitter
image.png

The Swamp Spitter cost only 7 mana and I say that, because as a Ranged attack monster with three attack damage he has amazing abilities compared to his mana cost.

His first ability is his Repair ability, which means that he will restore some of the lost Armor on one of his friendly monster in every round and the second is his Giant Killer ability, which is perfect in high mana battles like this one, because it will makes him to deal double damage against monsters that cost ten or more mana. 😜

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The slow Killer
Gobson Bomber
image.png

The Gobson Bomber cost 7 mana as well and he is a very special monster, because apart from his amazing three Ranged attack his most important feature is his Recharge ability, which will allow him to attack in every other round, but when he does he will deal triple of his damage.

That is insane, but only if he can skip attacking the enemy Armors to avoid blocking his huge attack. Luckily he has the Piercing ability, so any excess damage against his target Armors will deal damage to their Health. 😎

My opponent brought Immortalis who is an Earth Summoner and he has two ability to be given to his monsters and also to reduce the Health of all the enemy monsters by one. He will give the Void ability to his monsters, which will reduce all the incoming Magic attacks by half, which is insane. The other ability is the Shatter, so whenever their monsters attacks their target with any damage they will destroy their Armor completely. 😏

The enemy lineup had the Mycelic Slipspawn who has the Taunt ability, so all of our monster (except my tank and my monster with the Reach ability) had to attack her and she sustain quite a lot of our damage.

Sadly I lost my tank in the first round, because the Shatter ability destroyed all of his Armor and all of the enemy monsters attacked him. πŸ˜•

In the second round my Gobson charged up his attack and he killed their Slipspawn with one attack, so my team could start attacking their first monster. The Giant Killer ability worked perfectly on their Arkemis dealing double damage against him.

My opponent also had a monster with the Recharge ability and dealt huge amount of damage to my Relenor and unfortunately he died, but at least my Raider killed their tank as well.

Just before the second round finished I also lost my Raider as well, so let's see if my idea to bring an off tank in the middle of my lineup would pay off... πŸ˜…

image.png

In the third round there was few attacks, because both of us had a monster with the Recharge ability, but at least my team killed their Magic attacker in the first position. πŸ˜‰

In the fourth round all the attacks were charged up and my Gobson managed to kill their Legionary even if he had plus one Armor.

Luckily the Void worked perfectly against their Shaman and my Oshannus took 'only' three damage and against their Ancient Redwood he mitigated his five damage to only one! 😊

In the fifth round their Shaman also died and only their Redwood left who fell into the first position and was unable to attack from there, so my team managed to secure the Victory for me. πŸ˜‡
