I hope the changes will make the game more attractive to humans, attract new players and retain them. As to bots, I wonder what the change in the requirement of possessing a spellbook will mean: if new accounts and hive wallets can be created for free, won't this change result in an incentive for increasing the number of bots one has?
Hive accounts have always been available for free, but you still need to purchase a spellbook in splinterlands to be able to play to earn. I think you can play for free without it, but you can play the leagues where you can earn rewards.

Yes, you've always been able to purchase or be gifted assets without the spellbook, you just can't play the leagues without it. I'm not sure how it worked having an account without a Hive account, but the requirement for one now won't mean the spellbook is free. It's just the Hive account that's free, so we shouldn't have any problems there.
