RE: Splinterlands has changed

I'm a fan of the new system, but I think it's about working out how to best make use of rentals. The first 40 chests in a season are easy enough to collect, then it starts to slow down - moreso from about chest 50 or so (I'm at 71 so far). And, on any given day, it really, really slows down after you earn 15 focus chests - but if the end goal is EoS - you could probably keep your cards on rental, and - when you get a favourable splinter - really go to town and play a heap of games. Of my 71 season chests, I got most of these over 2 days where I got 15 or 16 daily chests. Most other days I'm just getting the first 5 focus chests, because they don't take much to grab.

I could keep renting out the cards from other splinters, but people are saying rental income is lower than it used to be. I'll play around with it. If I rent out too many cards I won't be able to get to high in the leagues.

Thinking the opposite, I used to be able to pick up a Llama for under 20 DEC, sometimes as low as 15. Now a Llama sets me back at least 70! And a Yodin costs me a similar price.

My old strategy was always to rent Yodin/Llama/Kron for brawls. That's still my strategy, but I really need to have a earth or fire splinter focus on to make it worthwhile. ;)
