Hey there, this is Lucky Ali, and welcome back to my new blog on the Splinterlands community engagement challenge. Before deep diving into this post, please visit my previous Splinterlands community engagement challenge and which was about a hidden gem. Here I have the Drybone Megaladon card, which is an amazing monster when used properly. I have tried this method many times, and most of the time it worked very well. So here I am, gonna share the strategy and battle too.
Battle Rules
| Briar patch: thorns ability is active here, that is why avoiding melee attack monsters is very important; otherwise, you can lose the battle. |
Team for the battle
| Sr. No. | Card | Instruction |
|---|---|---|
| 1. | ![]() | The card has retaliate and flank abilities. This is an 8 mana card with 4 melee attacks, 3 armors, 7 health, and 3 speed. I have upgraded this card to the 4th level. |
| 2. | ![]() | This is a 7 mana monster with 4 attack, 3 speed, and 6 health. Also, it has phase and dispel abilities. I have placed this card in second place because the first card has a flank ability |
| 3. | ![]() | I have level 2 of this card. This is a 6 mana monster. 2 melee attacks, 3 speed, 1 armor, and 5 health. Execute and opportunity abilities are there. |
| 4. | ![]() | This is an amazing card and I have 4th level card of this. The card has three abilities: close-range thorns and void. This is a ranged attack monster, but due to the close-range ability, I can place it anywhere. |
| 5. | ![]() | just a 2 mana card, but it has 4 ranged attacks, which is why it is very important. It has 3 speed and 5 health. I am putting it here rather than last. |
| 6. | ![]() | This card has 1 armor, which has an extra benefit in the last position. Armor can protect against even big attacks. |
The Battle

BATTLE► https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_2d3d0beac1a64f256161b7207ad84ac3
Round 1 - No loss
Round 2 - Opponent lost halfling refugee and silverleaf mage
I lost Drybone megalodon
Round 3 - opponent lost folen flameye
I lost the Thanalorian blade
Round 4 - I lost Warborn Chiefton and Kha'zi conjurer.
Round 5 - opponent lost mindless thral
Round 6 - no loss
Round 7 - no loss
Round 8 - Opponent lost endless ape
I WIN
At the end, just two cards left, and those cards were Chaos Battle Mage and Quilliun Legionary. The combination worked very well here, which is why I won, but we can't give all the credit to that combination but every monster contributed here.
Set drybone megalodon like this
In the above battle, you can clearly see where I have placed the card Drybone Megalodon, and it is first position right? Why, because it has flank ability, so you have to put a high melee attack monster in second so that it can attack from the second position, and this is the greatest advantage that you can take using Drybone Megalodon. It is not just Drybone megalodon, but you can use any flank ability card in the first place and follow the same process.
Conclusion
So this is how I am utilizing Drybone megalodon, and you can do the same. Share your point of view below in the comment section, and share this post on social media using relevant tags. If you are new, then just join under me. The referral link is given below. Thanks for being here, tc.
