Hi guys, this is Lucky Ali, and welcome back to my new Splinterlands community engagement challenge blog. Difficult rules and counters are coming out due to these special challenges, and new players are learning a lot from these challenges. Setting that aside, let's discuss what this post is about. Before I talk more, please visit my previous Splinterlands community engagement challenge post, because that is interesting too. Well, here I am gonna share the strategy that countering the countersell. Many strategies can be used against counterspell, but today I have something different, and this one is effective too.
In Splinterlands, things are balanced, which means if there is a greatest strategy, then there is its counter too. It is up to you how you find the counter. I want to give you some examples so that I can clarify. Let's if someone has very powerful melee attack cards, so in this case, thorns, shield, and inspire ability cards can be the best counter for them and can easily beat that melee team. Similarly, for the magic attack team, magic reflect, void, and void armor are the great counterattack cards. There are lots of powerful strategies in Splinterlands and their counters too, and I can't list all of them, but you can easily learn them by observation. Not just play but observe, and this experience will give you the greatest knowledge. Play more, observe more, and gain experience like a pro player.
Battle Rules
![]() | Counterspell: Do you know the magic reflect ability? If yes, then this is the same; it reflects all the magic attack and loss 50% to the opponent |
![]() | Up to eleven: Increase the damage of, magic reflects, thorns, return fire, and this directly benefits all the monsters against the magic attack monsters |
Team Against the Counterspell
Used Brewmaster Abraxas as a summoner. Using this summoner has a big benefit because it can summon three types of cards: fire, earth, and neutral. I have level 5 of this summoner. When you use this summoner, you have lots of variety in your team, which means you can choose the best cards from all three series of cards. Check my team, I have used Earth and neutral; however, I had an option to use fire cards too, but I thought this was enough.
Sr. No. | Card | Instruction |
---|---|---|
1. | ![]() | This monster has scavenger ability, and it also has more health and good stats, which makes this monster perfect for the first position. That is why I have used it here. |
2. | ![]() | Monster with reach ability monster that can attack from second position. It has 8 health and 3 melee attacks, which is nice and perfect to take this monster over other reach monsters. |
3. | ![]() | 2 Days ago, i have upgraded this card, and after that upgrade, the monster has received the thorns ability and more power. It has become the strongest monster now, so I can't avoid it. |
4. | ![]() | This monster has execute and opportunity abilities that are special. It can attack from any position, so for this reason, I have placed it just ahead of ranged attack cards. |
5. | ![]() | This is a must-have card due to its tank heal ability. It is a ranged attack monster, but it is just 1. The most important thing is tank heal ability in this monster, which heals the first monster. |
6. | ![]() | A powerful ranged attack monster with 3 attacks, it has good speed and piercing ability. It is perfect to use it last because it's a ranged attack monster. |
The Battle
BATTLE► https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_827ae129005df154759f43519583d278
Round 1 - No loss
Round 2 - Opponent lost the Virid Venomancer and Blackmor Wild Elf
I lost the Thanalorian blade
Round 3 - Opponent lost quilliion legionary and Thanalorian blade
Round 4 - Opponent lost boring hobgoblin and Satah Toledo
I WIN
I just lost one card, and endless ape, pallus, quilliun legionary, satha toledo, and chaos battle mage were left. As you can see, I have not even used a single magic attack monster. Why? The answer is given below. The opponent made a mistake by using 2 magic attack monsters, and also his cards are low health cards, so these are two major reasons behind the loss of the opponent. This was a 52 mana battle, and when you get such a big mana, why miss the opportunity? I have used cards with high health. Stronger cards have high mana, and when you use those cards, you can easily beat the opponent, and this opportunity does not come in every battle. The second important thing is to upgrade the card levels to give tough competition to your opponent. So that you can easily win the battle.
Don't use a magic attack monster in counterspell
A simple formula is to avoid using magic attack monsters, but for that, you must have powerful melee and ranged attack cards; otherwise, you can lose even if you avoid using magic attack monsters. You can see I have powerful attack cards and also defense cards. And my first three cards had high health, which means longer survival and tough competition for the opponent. Also, I have a tank heal card that saved the health of the first monster.
Conclusion
The strategy looks simple, but it depends on how you implement it because just avoiding magic attack monsters in counterspell is not enough; you must have other powerful cards for the attack and defense, and this is what I did in this battle.
