Hello friends, this is Lucky Ali, and welcome back to another Splinterlands social media challenge post. As always, before jumping into this post, please visit the previous social media challenge post, where I upgraded some important monsters to increase deck strength. However, this time I am bringing something different after a long time. Some merits were gathered, so I decided to spend them on gladiators. Presenting the gladius case opening ceremony. As you can see, I am the user who has used Gladiator cards in wild mode battles, mostly using those old summoners that allowed me to use one Gladiator monster in every single battle, but now it is not allowed because now I am playing modern, and modern summoners do not have that feature. I think the Splinterlands team should launch a summoner that allows players to take one gladiator monster in the battle. This way, gladiator monsters can get one more use case and more importance.
These monsters are stronger than the regular cards, and they are native cards for the guild brawl. I am a regular player of guild brawls. Currently, I am a member of the Imu club guild, which is level 2 of the buildings. In the guild, you do not need to play brawls daily like you do in the battle. If you are guild users and play brawls regularly, then you may know about that. For the new users, I have one suggestion, and that is must join the guild and play brawls. For that, you can go to the Splinterlands Discord and ask others to join guild brawls, and I am sure that you will surely get a guild to join. You just need to follow the guild rules that should be mentioned in the guild. They can even ask for the reinvestment of some %%.
2k Merits per Gladius Case
Actually, I had 19728 merits, but I can't use them all because the gladius case price is 2k merits per pack. So I can't use all of them for 10 packs; I need 20k merits.
In the above screenshot, you can see 9 gladius cases, and the total merits are 18 thousand. When you are buying a gladius case, you just need to enter the amount according to one gladius case, and it is 2k merits per gladius case, which means I can spend 18k merits for 9 gladius cases.
Here you can see that a notification like this will appear. Then you just have to click on open packs.
Let's open them
Top open all these packs and go to the open section. where you can open the gladiius case and other packs, and you can find this option in the Splinterlands dashboard.
Here you can see I have combined all of them because it is better to open all at once instead of opening them one by one. After all, this way you can save time.
Let's calculate the total cards. One gladius case has 5 cards, which means I get a total of 45 cards from 9 gladius cases. This is nice a nd I have a chance to get a legendary or gold foil card from this list. Let's check what i got from these 9 gladius cases.
Here you can check I have got 3 witch of warwick, 6 krash wanderford, 3 orella abadon, 1 liza fox, 4 bertrol gobson, 1 alfredo, 1 isgald vorst, 1 ajax lightfoot, 3 chimney wallstop, 2 cutter brieze, 1 edith emberstar, 1 whistling damon, 2 helmet kharafax, 3 relenor cleaver, 5 katrela gobson, 3 hugo strongsword, 1 with of warwick gold, 1 sarius, and 3 alva the crusher. There are some decent monsters in this list, and I really like them, especially Katrela Gobson, the witch of Warwick, and chimney wallstop. I have got 1 epic, 12 rare, and 31 common cards. There is one gold+epic card, which is Witch of Warwick, and I am very happy with that card because that one card is equal to all these other gladiators that I got in these 9 gladius cases.
Why are Gladiator cards important?
If you don't know, then you may ask why gladiator cards are important, so let me tell you, these cards are the strongest cards with the default bloodlust ability. They have strong stats like high attacks, high speed, or more health. If you are playing in the wild and have an old summoner, then you have a chance to get maximum benefits from these cards. Gather more, level them up, and rock in the battle. Currently, I am playing modern, so I can't use them in the battle, but these monsters will be useful for me in guild brawl, so this is how I am going to utilize these powerful cards. Guild has decent rewards too, and also, you don't need to play that many brawls like you do in the modern, frontier, and wild modes. I have played Frontier mode to get some free cards, and those cards are nice. Then I stopped playing, but many old players are still playing Frontier Mod, even though they have stronger cards for the other modes.
Conclusion
So it is all about Gladiator cards. You can see how I am utilizing merits to get gladiator cards. Now it is time to earn and gather more merits, and it takes time. My main source of merits earning is guild brawls. My target is to get more than 20k merits then I will spend them again for the gladiator monsters and surely update you with the social media challenge of splinterlands. Now it is time to say goodbye.
