Hello Splinterlands fam!
I hope you all are doing well in life and enjoying an amazing day with your family and friends. Now, for splinterlands players, I hope all of you are hustling well in the game and completing your daily missions and tasks in Ranked, Tournaments, Brawls and Frontier mode and actively collecting your rewards. The last ranked season only ended a couple of days ago and if we take a look at the clock of the ongoing season, there’s only around 10 days left for this current ranked one to meet its end. So, suppose you are playing actively in this season and have set a goal for yourself, whether it is to enter any League Tier before the season ends or to compete against the OGs and redeem a glorious spot in the Top champion leaderboard. In that case, I wish you all the best and hope you reach there soon. But, I would advise you all, especially new players, to always keep an eye on your battle energy meter and maintain it in a healthy way, so that you don't end up with no energy during the last days of the season.
Now looking at my own activities in Splinterlands, I am, as usual, playing the Frontier mode with full focus, as I shared in my previous posts. This newest gameplay mode in Splinterlands, which is completely free to play, is literally killing it, and if you are also playing this mode, then you must have noticed an exponential increase in active player count in this mode recently. I have been playing this mode for the last 10 frontier seasons straight and so far, I have already made a decent collection of the foundation edition cards. This new mode is not only fun to play, but it also gives you the same competitive thrill as playing the other modes in Splinterlands. Not to mention, the cards that you earn in the form of rewards for completing daily missions or by winning raffles can be sold in the market for monetary rewards.
Anyway, right now, I am playing at Gold I league tier with a current trophy count of 2,900 and so far, I have only collected 6 entries in this new frontier season. Sadly, as you can see from the screenshot above, even after playing for straight 10 frontier seasons and earning a decent amount of raffle entries, I haven't won anything from the raffle, but I will keep trying, and let’s just hope my luck shines one day.
Now, moving forward to the main topic of this post, today I will be talking about another awesome Conclave Arcana card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Calabash Sage. So, if you want to know all the details about this monster card, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
CALABASH SAGE
The Calabash Safe is a monster type card that was launched in the game with the introduction of the latest Conclave Arcana edition card set. This monster belongs to the Life element and it comes from the Ulund bloodline. It costs a whopping 10 mana to be used in battles, so it is ideal to select this monster in your lineup when playing medium to large mana limit matches. By rarity, it is a common type card, so you would need a total of 400 CC cards to upgrade it to its max level. The attack type of this monster is ranged and it also features a high combo of health + armour at a low speed, but with 3 abilities at its max level, which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further inspection to know its league-wise unlocked stats and abilities below to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster receives eye-catching stats of 4 ranged attack power at 1 speed with 1 armour and 7 health. Apart from that, it also gets the Shield ability since its initial level, which helps this monster by taking reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks.
SHIELD
- 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power.
SILVER
When you upgrade this monster to level 5, it possesses the same stats as its previous league level - 4 ranged attack power at 1 speed with 1 armour and 7 health. But, it does get a new and very important ability at this level called Tank Heal, which suddenly changes this monster's overall usability way more now.
TANK HEAL
- Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded further to level 8, it gets an increased stats of 4 ranged attack power at 1 speed with 3 armour and 8 health, along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new abilities at the Gold League level, its increased armour and health will defend against more attacks before going down.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 10, it possesses an increased 5 ranged attack power at the same 1 speed with 3 armour and 8 health. Not only that, but it also gets a brand new ability at this level called True Strike, so now it will never miss an attack.
TRUE STRIKE
- Attacks will never miss.
Last but not least, this mobster does cost a lot and can only be used in matches with a high mana limit, but you also have to consider what it is offering for that cost. First of all, you get a range monster carrying 5 attack power, Tank Heal ability, which will help you to build different types of healing strategies, no more missing attacks due to the true strike ability and a tough shell with shield ability for unmatched defence. So overall, this big guy is purely made to rule the high mana limit matches and definitely deserves a chance in your arsenal. What do you think?
