Hello Splinterlands fam!
Welcome to another Splinterlands blog of mine, and I hope you all are doing well in your lives and enjoying an amazing day with your family and friends. If you are happen to be a splinterlands player, the right now, you must be brainstorming yourself in the game, trying to climb that trophy ladder and reach your goal set for this ongoing ranked season, whether it is to enter a certain league tier and snatch those reward chests, or to claim a glorious seat at the champion top leaderboard and receive lucrative rewards. If we take a look at the ongoing season’s clock, less than 3 days remain for this season to meet its end. So, I guess most of you have already reached your goals, or are very close to them. But, if by any chance you haven’t reached there, and also don’t have a large energy mana bar with you, then you may find it hard to accomplish your mission. Because the season-end bloodbath has already started and all the OG Players from around the world are now actively playing in the arena and slicing down weak opponents with their unbeatable card collection and deadly strategies.
On the other hand, the Frontier mode is successful in keeping me hooked well, as I have been playing this game regularly for a while, and rarely miss a day. In my previous post, I shared my Foundation pack openings where I pulled a Gold Foil Legendary card. Anyway, I am currently playing at the Gold I league tier, the highest in this mode, with a trophy count of 3,620 and have been trying to maintain a balanced approach with my battle energy bar while completing the daily 3 frontier missions. For myself, I always try to win 2 or 3 missions daily, which earns me 2 to 3 foundation packs, and 6 to 9 raffle entries daily, which is not bad at all. This new free-to-play mode in splinterlands has given me the freedom to play competitively in the game and earn decent rewards without investing in it. A large portion of my foundation collection has come from organic rewards, but I also bought a bunch of them to upgrade my collection.
Now, let me first open all the 5 foundation packs that I have won from the last 2 days' mission. Opening foundation packs is super fun to me, and as each pack gives you 5 different cards, opening a bunch of them boosts your overall collection way faster. Let me now open them and share the outcome below, without any further ado.
As you can clearly see, I have got some good pulls in the outcome, including gold foils and archons. As seen in the screenshots above, I received 1 Epic, 6 Rares - including 5 archons, 1 gold foil common and the rest all regular common cards.
If you also play this free-to-play mode in Splinterlands, you surely know how important these archon cards actually are. So, receiving 5 archon cards from 5 Foundation packs is a very good pull in my opinion. Anyway, after the opening, I went to see if I have enough cards now to upgrade any monsters, and glad to find that I have one - The Sturdy Axe Warden, which I upgraded from level 4 to its max level of 5.
Now, moving forward, let us take a look at my current foundation collection - starting with the Fire element.
Fire Element
The Fire element in the foundation is the element of speed, where you get monsters with large attacks and speed, but with low health. For me, I have my fire archon at level 3, and for monster cards, I have 1 X level 1 legendary, 2 X level 2 Epic, 1 X Level 3 and 1 X Level 2 Rares, and 1 x max level and 2 X level 3 Common cards.
Water Element
Next, the Water element, this foundation element is known for its deadly magic attacks, where you get 3 monsters with magic attacks and other defensive monsters with high health. For my water element collection, I have the archon at level 3 and for the monster cards, I have 1 X max level legendary, 2 X level 2 Epic, 1 X Level 3 Rares, and 4 X level 4 Common cards.
Earth Element
Mow, taking a look at the Earth element, well known for its defence and healing, with unmatched high range attacker attacks, where you get 3 monsters with range attacks and other monsters with high attack and health as well. For my Earth element collection, I have the archon at level 3, and for the monster cards, I have 1 X level 1 legendary, 2 X level 2 Epic, 1 X max Level and 1 X level 2 Rares, 3 X level 4 and 1 X Level 3 Common cards.
Life Element
Coming to the Life element, this element is also popular, mainly for its protective armours. Also, its monsters possess deadly melee and ranged attacks, where you get a mix of 3 melee, 2 magic and 2 monsters with ranged attacks, along with 1 little defensive tank monster. For my Life element collection, I have the archon at level 3, and for the monster cards, I have 1 X max level legendary, 1 X level 2 Epic, 1 X Level 3 Rares, 1 X max level and 2 X level 4 Common cards.
Death Element
Next up in the list is the Death element. This foundation element is widely used for its health weakening archon and monsters, along with high-power attackers, where you get 2 monsters with magic attacks, 3 with ranged and 3 with melee attacks. Death monsters have anti-magic, anti-health, and anti-defence strategy cards and are very useful to play under many results. For my Death element collection, I have the archon at level 3, and for the monster cards, I have 1 X max level legendary, 1 X level 1 and 1 X level 2 Epics, 1 X Level 3 and 2 X level 2 Rares, and 3 X level 4 Common cards.
Neutral cards
Last on the list, we have the all-weather - Neutral element. This element is your friendly set of buddies, ready to go with any archon. They are well known for carrying a mix of medium to high power attacks, where you get 1 dial attack monster, and also 1 magic attack, 3 melee and 2 ranged, along with monsters with taunt, dual attack and opportunity abilities. For my Neutral element collection, there are no available archons, and for the monster cards, I have 2 X max level legendary, 2 X level 3 Epic Rares, and 3 X level 4 Common cards.
My Gold Foil Collection
Last but not least, a view of my gold foil foundation card collection.
After walking through my current foundation card collection, I realised that I only need another push on it to reach the all max foundation collection. All of my archons are only 2 levels down from the max level, and I have already collected several CC cards of them. For Legendary cards, most of them are at max level, and Epic cards are also mostly at level 2, not to mention that I have also upgraded several rare and commons to max level as well. Let’s now see how much time it takes to finally reach my goal.
