As the past few days DEC in terms of Hive has been near a monthly high if not yearly. We had drop in price prior when DEC par value simply went straight down. The main cause of this price drop is likely due to increase DEC in circulation.
The overall supply of DEC has shrank nearly 10% in the past two months. Meanwhile the price of Hive has also weaken since. My decision to invest into Hive is in diversifying my assets not just in Splinterlands. For transparency I am still heavily invested in the game such as my SPS staked continues to be in top 1,000.
I do not know if this is a all time low for Hive but will slowly accumulate HP to hit a target of 50k. Meanwhile playing Splinterlands rank battles to stack SPS, Glint and reward cards.

It's interesting to see the DEC supply drop. I wonder if people will start burning SPS to put back in more DEC later.
I don't know, if it is possible to burn SPS for DEC, when you are a player.
There was proposal about that and I not see the option anymore.
I googled, and it shows this article. It's not the same since it seems a bit outdated, but I remember SPS having that advantage when it was released. There is a 2.5% fee, so it would depend on the price of SPS. I could be wrong, though.
I need to search, but now I play rankeds, but I saw that players can't burn sps anymore you can check on discord spl.
