Hi all!

Today, I present a new digital work which is my entry for splinterlands art contest organized by @splinterlands. For this week's entry, the card I sketched is known as Flying Squid.

This character is noted to have aggression and speed and they shoot ink into the eyes of their prey. When the prey gets blind, they can now attack with their long tentacles.

Here, I drew the Squid chasing its prey with its mouth open and positioned towards it. It's about time to strike!

The piece was done with AutoDesk sketchbook application and aided with an S-pen.

Below are my detailed step by step processes:

The piece was started with generating of my concept before I sketched it out.

Thereafter, I started shading adding tones. This was to derive forms.

Then I added a background color to it. I chose blue because it would make look as though it is on a high sea.

Nice drawing.
I wish you success in your challenge entry

Yeah, it does look like an octopus but not really. This one is a 'flying squid'.
Thanks man👍

Fantastic work, one of my favorite water monsters!
