Fog of war ruleset

Monster loss their sneak and snipe ability in this ruleset. This is a bit little straightforward for those who have been playing the game for awhile.

Monsters with sneak ability attack opponent monsters from behind which mean in this ruleset there no need to worry about your backline monster your focus should be on having good tanks to stay up and running in the battle arena.

Monsters with snipe ability as well will have their ability strip off as range snipe ability monster will not have ultimate power in this ruleset only focused monster for this ruleset is having good tanks and subsequent tanks with good health stat and attacking power to hold the battle line.

Strategy for fog of war ruleset

  1. Having a good tank with good set of lineup magic and range unit monster is a good strategy for winning this ruleset.

  2. Using opportunity monster can also boost chance of winning this ruleset.

  3. Keep your monster in ascending order of slashing attack or health stat.

  4. Melee used as frontline with sneak can be useful keep other monsters such as magic monster as possible to increase chance of winning.

Sneak monster and snipe can be used in this ruleset but they loss their sneaking ability and snipe this means one can strategise their play by placing these monsters in good position placing a sneak monster as tank could be used to infiltrate an opponent frontline as long such sneak monster have good health stat, speed and high slashing attack. An opponent with strong lineup of magic monsters can be hard to counter in this ruleset.

Interestingly splinterland is all about strategy coming up with good one gives one best chance of winning a battle.

Playing fog of war ruleset doesn't limit a player to any element monster collection although most splinterlanders will prefer to opt for this ruleset with element having more magic monsters for this ruleset I used fire element monster while my opponent came up with death element no much magic monsters in these element but some good sneak and range monsters can be found on both element.

Battle lineup

LIVING LAVA this fire element monster is best suited for tank because of it's good slashing attack power it can inflict high damage on an opponent frontline tank being a melee monster with ability to reduce damage attack by 50% from melee and range monster it plus two shield and health of six stat makes LIVING LAVA my first line tank.

TENYII STRIKER this used to be a sneak attacking monster because of the ruleset it loss it ability to attacking monsters from behind placing it next to tank will give it ample chance to attack my opponent if my frontline tank is eliminated from the battle lineup its also have a good combo of speed and attack.

FEROX DEFENDER surprisingly I put up all my first three monster as melee attacking monsters because of their direct focus to attack an opponent frontliner although for this ruleset magic monsters would have been most suitable for tanks and subsequent lineup FEROX DEFENDER gives all friendly monster plus two armour this will help and increase my monsters chance of survival the battle.

DJINN APPRENTICE finally a magic attacking monster added to the lineup aim to infiltrate my opponent tank doesn't have much special ability but will definitely be useful in the battle arena.

FIRE ELEMENTAL a range monster with fire blast ability it attacks an opponent frontline and adds additional damage second line monster it has good speed with very low health stat since I don't need to worry about sneak monster FIRE ELEMENTAL will stay up long in the battle arena.

MANTOID another range attacking monster with snipe ability but since the ruleset doesn't support sneak and snipe it can only attack opponent frontline tanks placing it in this lineup will be help my other monsters in attacking my opponent tanks.

Battle strategy

For this ruleset only fire and death element monster were to be used in the ruleset, since I predict death element don't have much magic monsters collect I decided to have a good lineup of melee, range and magic having more melee attackers was to increase my chance of quickly decapitating my opponent frontline tank since I presume they won't be coming up with much magic monsters.

My line 4 to 6 monster will support my 3 melee monster to evade my opponent lineups with my fire blast ability monster, range and magic monster that directs all their attacks on my opponent tank it was easy for me to emerge winner in this ruleset.

Seem my opponent with death element was quite prepared for this ruleset they came up with 3 range attacking monsters and 2 magic attacker with one melee while majority of my lineup monster were melee attacking monsters the battle lasted 8 round it was a fierce clash but my melee and range monsters did quite outstanding in the battle.

Round 1 first round was a clash of heads and tail no monster was eliminated but lots of damage was made on both lineup tanks since in this ruleset tanks takes all the damage from each lineup monster.

Round 2 round one was very fierce in second round both lineup tanks were eliminated in this round it's hard any tank to survive each round.

Round 3 each round comes with new tank my armour friendly monster takes the tanks role in round 3 as both my fire blast, magic and last line range monster continue to strike hard on my opponent lineup.

Round 4 round 4 my friendly armour support monster is still in the arena making it a 3 against 4 battle seems the battle is about to be decided.

Round 5 My 4 monster made it to round 5 while my opponent is beginning to loss the grip of the battle.

Round 6 my opponent scavenging monster with magic attack is about to be eliminated leaving my opponent with only two range attacking monster.

Screenshot_20230927-162915_Gallery.jpg

Rouns 7,8 With range monster on my opponent side they can do little to no attack when in frontline giving my monsters chance to attack none stop the battle is over with my blast, range and magic monster surviving the battle.
