RE: First week in Splinterlands: A guide to collection power?

Thanks for discussing card power. Often, new players buy too expensive cards because they think the cards are needed to win more matches. I recommend buying the least expensive gold cards. This gives power and more DEC on wins. If you decide to invest in a more expensive card, consider a good summoner like Mylor Crowling. The thorns feature will help you win many lower level matches and boost your ranking. (edit) Just checked your history and saw that you already bought a good summoner

Also, good luck on the Earth splinter this season. Here's some encouragement in your account until the end of season

Thanks a bunch for the card delegation! I appreciate all the help I can get and to be able to play this to see if it fits well into the earth cards I'm currently using is just amazing.

I agree with Mylor Crowling being a great buy for starters. I noticed in Bronze/Silver there are a lot of sneak teams you go up against, and most of them are melee attackers. Throwing in Mylor as your summoner is just amazing to counter such teams as those melee cards will just kill themselves. Even though he doesn't improve you much power-wise, he's still an amazing buy for any starter looking to reach Silver and even beyond.

You are welcome. It wasn't long ago that I was a new player also.
