Olá Splinters, bem vindos de volta!
Battle Mage Secrets é um desafio semanal em que os jogadores compartilham suas batalhas com uma determinada regra. Essa é uma excelente oportunidade para os jogadores aprenderem um pouco mais e encontrar até mesmo outras formas de ter um melhor desempenho diante dos obstáculos que uma regra de batalha poderá ser.
Cada jogador pode ter suas preferências de monstros summoners e estratégias para cada situação. Esse desafio semanal abre portas para olharmos mais de perto o que outros jogadores fazem para se sobressair diante de cada regra. Eu gosto de observar outros conteúdos e assim consigo adicionar mais conhecimento ao que posso fazer.
O desafio dessa semana é sobre a regra Briar Patch! Você a conhece? Vamos falar mais sobre ela a seguir:
Se você já joga Splinterlands, sabe que existem algumas formas de "punir" determinados tipos de ataque. Para cada tipo de ataque existe uma habilidade que faz isso. Briar Patch é uma regra de batalha da qual todos os monstros em campo entram com a habilidade Thorns.

Diante dessa regra, é bom evitar monstros que possuem ataque melee. Porém, se você deseja usar monstros com esse tipo de ataque, pode optar por monstros que possuem a habilidade REFLECTION SHIELD 
. Monstros que possuem essa habilidade são imune a Thorns e também a outros efeitos que causam dano por ataque.
Como escalar uma equipe quando essa regra estiver ativa?
Bem, você já sabe que monstros melee não serão tão bem vindos, evite os. Mas para a posição de tank, os monstros com esse tipo de ataque são os melhores, o que fazer?
A primeira escolha pode ser um monstro de ataque mágico ou um que não possua ataque mas que tenham uma boa quantidade de vida ou capacidade de se defender. É importante ter em mente que nessa regra, monstros com ataque mágico serão prioridade, diante disso, é bom se preparar.
Um tank que não possui ataque também é interessante, pois será mais difícil dele sofrer algum tipo de dano passivo, pois ele não ataca e isso pode ajuda-lo a permanecer de pé por mais tempo.
Para a linha de trás, eu recomendo alternar entre ataque mágico e ranged. Não é muito interessante colocar apenas um tipo de ataque, você poder counterado facilmente se fizer isso. Se ir full ataque mágico, além de ser facilmente counterado o seu oponente também pode colocar algum monstro com habilidade de refletir dano mágico.
Ir com um time totalmente de ataque ranged também não acredito ser uma ideia tão boa. Quando você perder seu tank e seus monstros ranged começarem a ir para a primeira posição, seu time será aniquilado rapidamente.
Sem mais delongas, vamos para a batalha!
Essa é uma batalha em que apenas 18 de mana estavam disponíveis, uma quantidade limitada e que deveria ser usada com sabedoria para conseguir um bom desempenho. A regra Briar Patch estava ativa assim como Aim true e Tis But Scratches.
Summoners:
Meu oponente escolhe um summoner que adiciona escudos e velocidade e isso realmente são atributos úteis, sei que vou ter trabalho extra para lidar com isso. Por minha vez escolho um summoner que diminui ataque ranged. Minha escolha foi baseada em que, se proteger de ataque mágico seria muito obvio e imaginei que poderia ser surpreendido pelo meu adversário com esse tipo de ataque. Foi na mosca, você verá daqui a pouco como isso deu certo!
Meu time:

 | A primeira força ofensiva do meu time. Esse monstro entrou com a finalidade de atacar o primeiro monstro da linha de trás não melee. |
 | Assim como o monstro anterior, esse veio para ser a segunda força ofensiva do time e para fazer um combo Snipe. |
Round por round!
Nesse primeiro round da para perceber que eu escolhi muito bem um summoner que diminui o ataque ranged, meu opoente tem um monstro com um poder de ataque avassalador. Outro ponto positivo foi eu ter focado meu ataque nos monstros da linha de trás, isso fez muita diferença já no primeiro round.
No segundo round duas coisas importante acontecem. A primeira é que o monstro mais ofensivo de meu oponente morre e isso me da mais tranquilidade, porém logo em seguida perco minha principal força defensiva. Até aqui a batalha esta equilibrada.
Agora eu tenho pouco recurso defensivo e é uma luta contra o tempo, por assim dizer. Meu adversário tem mais condições defensivas e eu só conto com os monstros de pouca mana para segurar os monstros ranged.
Por fim, a batalha chega no quinto round e por pouco eu não perco a batalha. Escolher um monstro melee para ser seu tanque foi um preço que meu opone nte pagou e isso o levou a derrota nos últimos momentos.

This week's challenge is about the Briar Patch rule! Do you know her? Let's talk more about her below:
If you already play Splinterlands, you know that there are some ways to "punish" certain types of attacks. For each type of attack there is a skill that does that. Briar Patch is a battle rule that all monsters on the field enter with the Thorns ability.

Given this rule, it is good to avoid monsters that have melee attack. However, if you want to use monsters with this type of attack, you can choose monsters that have the REFLECTION SHIELD . Monsters that have this ability are immune to Thorns as well as other effects that deal damage per attack.
How to roster a team when this rule is active?
Well, you already know that melee monsters are not so welcome, avoid them. But for the tank position, monsters with this type of attack are the best, what to do?
The first choice can be a magic attack monster or one that has no attack but has a good amount of health or ability to defend itself. It's important to keep in mind that in this rule, monsters with a magic attack will be a priority, so it's good to prepare.
A tank that does not have an attack is also interesting, as it will be more difficult for him to suffer some type of passive damage, as he does not attack and this can help him remain on his feet for longer.
For the back row, I recommend switching between magic and ranged attack. It's not very interesting to put only one type of attack, you can be countered easily if you do that. If you go full magic attack, in addition to being easily countered your opponent can also put a monster with the ability to reflect magic damage.
Going with a full ranged attack team I don't think is such a good idea either. When you lose your tank and your ranged monsters start to move into first position, your team will be annihilated quickly.
Without further ado, let's go into battle!
This is a battle where only 18 mana was available, a limited amount that should be used wisely to perform well. The Briar Patch rule was active as well as Aim true and Tis But Scratches.
Summoners:
My opponent chooses a summoner that adds shields and speed and these are really useful attributes, I know I'm going to have extra work to deal with. For my turn I choose a summoner that decreases ranged attack. My choice was based on that, protecting yourself from magic attack would be too obvious and I figured that I could be surprised by my opponent with this type of attack. It was on the fly, you will soon see how it worked!
My team:

Round by round!
In this first round you can see that I chose a summoner very well that reduces the ranged attack, my opponent has a monster with an overwhelming attack power. Another positive point was that I focused my attack on the back row monsters, that made a lot of difference in the first round.
In the second round two important things happen. The first is that my opponent's most offensive monster dies and that gives me peace of mind, but then I lose my main defensive strength. So far the battle is balanced.
Now I have little defensive resource and it's a race against time so to speak. My opponent has more defensive conditions and I only rely on low mana monsters to hold ranged monsters.
Finally, the battle comes in the fifth round and I almost lose the battle. Choosing a melee monster to be your tank was a price my opponent paid and it led to defeat in the last moments.
