Hello Splinterlands Community,
I've returned to percentage a new episode of my gaming experience with you. The Splinterlands crew's weekly "Social Media Challenge" is usually special to me. It's no longer just a task, but it is a high-quality opportunity to perfect our own techniques and collections.

Today was a little different for me. I've been thinking about strengthening my deck for a while now. But I just couldn't do it. Today I suddenly decided, it's not too late! I deposited about fifteen thousand (15,000) DEC from Hive Engine into my game wallet.
At first, a crazy thought came to my mind. I was thinking of buying a big or famous gold foil or legendary card with all the money. But I stopped right away. I can't make decisions based on emotions." Because I need utility cards of various elements more to win my daily battles than a big card. So, I changed my plan and decided to buy some new cards and upgrade my old ones. Today, I will tell you the story of that purchase.

Look at the picture above. This is my market purchase history today. Whenever I decide to shop, I go straight to the market. Just look at my balance history and you will understand how busy I was!
I bought several cards in a row. Sometimes with 1000+ DEC, sometimes with small amounts. This moment of purchase feels great to me. When you buy new assets with your hard-earned tokens, there is a kind of peace of mind. It seems that my dedication to the game has increased even more.

Those of us who are in this blockchain game know how wonderful the transparency is here. This transaction on HiveHub is proof of my activity. Everything is recorded on the blockchain, and I am posting my investment record here. It reminds me that I am not just playing the game, I am part of an ecosystem.

Level Up: Marlai Singariel (Water Splinter)
One of the main goals of today's shopping was to upgrade my Marlai Singariel card. I bought and combined several cards and finally managed to upgrade them to Level 3!
This Water element card is my favourite. Taking it to Level 3 has increased its stats and performance. Especially, its armour and health combination will give me a lot of advantage on the battlefield. I usually like to play with Water decks, so I believe this upgrade will help increase my win rate. Look at how glamorous the card looks now!

New Addition: Saltwraith Bulkhead (Life Unit)
While browsing the market, I suddenly caught my eye on this monstrous card. The name is Saltwraith Bulkhead. It is a Life Unit card. Just looking at its artwork shows how powerful it can be.
Its Mana Cost is 7, which may seem a bit high, but look at its stats! It has 8 Health and 6 Armour. This is a perfect "tank" card that can absorb a lot of damage from the opponent.

However, the real reason behind buying this card is its strange ability "Weary". I haven't played with this ability much before. It's a bit risky. As the round progresses, this card can become Exhausted and miss turns. But I felt that in a high mana battle, where a lot of defence is needed at the beginning, it could be a game-changer. This is the risk I wanted to take!

Strategic Pick: Stonebind Matron (Earth Unit)
Then I bought Stonebind Matron. It is a common card of the Earth element. Many people may neglect common cards, but I think that even ordinary cards can become extraordinary with the right ruleset.
Its magic attack and supporting ability will help me diversify my Earth deck. Especially when it comes to 'low mana' or 'magic only' ruleset, this type of card is very useful. Moreover, its card design is also unique.

The Speed Beast (Water Monster)
Finally, look at the card that I want to share with you. It is a water element card. I couldn't resist the temptation to see its stats.

Notice that its Speed is 7! In Splinterlands, speed means that you will get the chance to hit before your opponent and increase the chance of your opponent missing a hit. On top of that, it has the "Slow" ability. That is, it is not only fast itself, but it will slow down all the monsters on the opposing team. This 9 mana card will be my trump card in big battles. The combination of such high speed and magic attack is really rare.
Today was quite productive for me. I have reorganised my deck by investing 15,000 DEC. Buying these small but effective cards instead of one big card and making Marlai Singariel level 3 was the right decision in my opinion.
Now I just have to wait and see how my winning streak is with the new cards. To those of you who are reading this post of mine, I would like to say - upgrade your deck with the tokens you have accumulated from time to time, as it increases the interest in playing many times.
Everyone, be well, see you in the next battle.
Thanks for sharing! - @clove71
