My favorite monsters in the game Splinterlands are those that possess the abilities of sneak, snipe, and opportunity. These abilities greatly assist me in eliminating the opponent's support monsters, which are typically positioned at the rear and have low health. However, there is a ruleset in the game called fog of war that nullifies these abilities. Consequently, for battles with fog of war, the optimal choice would be magic and range type monsters. This week, I will be sharing my battle that incorporates fog of war along with two other rulesets: odds one out and holy protection. The maximum mana requirement for this battle is 34, and the allowed elements are fire, life, water, earth, and neutral.
With this battle rules, I picked Kelya Fendul from the water element. Here below is the detail of my line.
Coeurl Lurker lvl 2 - First Position
This monster possesses the abilities of taunt, dodge, and phase, making it an excellent choice for a frontliner. With these abilities, the monster can effectively evade range, melee, and magic attacks. Furthermore, its overall stats are also impressive, with 4 melee attack, 4 speed, and 11 health.
Tide Biter lvl 6 - Second Position
This monster is perfectly suited for the second position due to its reach ability, allowing it to attack from that position. Another useful ability it possesses is the reflection shield, which protects it from taking damage from blast and thorns. Additionally, Tide also has the true strike ability.
Merdaali Guardian lvl 8 - Third Position
No damage is dealt by this monster, but its abilities are highly valuable for supporting first position monsters. It can heal, repair, and strengthen allied monsters, making it an essential asset on the team.
Scavo Technomancer lvl 8 - Fourth Position
One of my favorite monsters is capable of performing blast attacks, rusting armor, and blinding opponents. It serves as a valuable asset to my team, providing support both offensively and defensively. By reducing the enemy's armor, it allows my team to directly target their health, and its blind ability causes my opponent to miss their attacks.
Venari Wavesmith lvl 8 - Fifth Position
This monster provide armor to the team and has dispel ability that will remove positive buff from my opponent.
Angelic Mandarin lvl 8 - Sixth Position
As I anticipate a battle focused on magic and range, having this monster in my lineup will provide an advantage. It reduces magic damage and possesses the triage ability, which is highly beneficial in sustaining and healing my team.
Below is the complete line up for both teams.

CONCLUSION
It is important to note that when snipe, sneak, and opportunity abilities are not allowed, the attacks will be directed towards either the first position or the monsters with taunt ability. In my battle, I strategically positioned the monster with taunt ability in the first position, and it proved to be effective. Additionally, the frontline monsters were fully supported with healing, armor, repair, and other abilities such as blind and silence, making them more durable. It's worth mentioning that besides the taunt ability, these monsters also possess dodge and phase, which serve as the best counters against melee, ranged, and magic attacks.
