The last Legendary AirDrop card, Venka the Vile is a Monster that is a Neutral cards which adds to its utility. It is meant to directly combat and neutralize the Grimbardun Smith card which has dominated the meta since the release of the Rebellion set. It achieves this balance by the strong set of abilities and stats that it has. It leads with Opress and Pierce which go right through the defense of the Smith. It also brings a new ability which allows it to attack from any position despite being a melee card.
My completed regular foil deck cannot get me enough for a maxed version guaranteed. I opted to use some of my Gold Foils to also stake instead of renting them in order to get to a maxed copy. I had a good amount of luck as I got a couple of extra BCX but no Gold Foil version this time. All these cards went into the wagons to help for the next Conflict which started immediately. This will intensify as the next AirDrop will bring the new Legendary Summoners. The future AirDrops will likely require me to go and buy some BCX as it gets harder to guarantee the drops. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how their value is perceived in the market given the inherent expected scarcity of Rebellion in general.
The Rebellion AirDrops have now started so exciting for the community. It may be a while to see the next one but incredible to see the value being built for all the players in the ecosystem. My Collection has continued to bloom despite the markets in the past months. I cannot avoid getting deeper into this and while I am already well past my budget of packs, I am sure there will continue to be reasons to add to the wagons for the chance for more AirDrops even as they slow.
