Let me tell you my story on Splinterlands...
WHAT HAPPENED?
I started playing the game back in November 2018, long time ago when it was still called Steem Monsters. I immediately fell in love with the game since I love card games which is why I'm also addicted to Rising Star now lol. From the moment I started, I was grinding a lot, everyday, climbing, it was much easier back then. I invested some money, started building up and my account was becoming a beast. I was at the top, my highest rank was 21, I was reaching Champion rank every season, I was getting tons of rewards. But when I was at my highest peak, they implemented the Power Rating for ranks and big changes on rewards which meant not so many cards on missions and end of season chests. And even though I knew it was for a good reason since we were milking the hell out of the game, I got discouraged, my current power at that time was 150k, enough to be playing chill in Gold 2. But after being champion all seasons that felt bad for me but I didn't complain, those changes were needed...
So last year, in the middle of the year, I sold my whole collection out of greed for the money and because like I said I got discouraged. But that was one of the biggest mistakes I've made in my life, wasted 3 years of building up an awesome account just for a few hundred bucks, not to mention a while after I sold it, Splinterlands entered that huge boom where DEC price went to the sky, so my collection would have been worth at least 10 times more. So not only I made the mistake of selling, I did it at the worst possible time...
So, my intention with this is not cry or whine, I made the mistake and that's that, I have to deal with it and since now I'm back to fully dedicate to streams and blockchain games I decided to go back to the game. Starting from scratch because I barely have cards. How long is it going to take me to rebuild what I had? Not sure, but I'm willing to go for it.
My intention is to grow my account enough to be able to also add Splinterlands as a main game in my streams, do giveaways and help the community, I might even use some of my earnings from Rising Star to build my collection a bit faster.
I feel I'm in a good position for it and hopefully it won't be that long until I can start streaming Splinterlands with awesome giveaways and maybe even some tournaments if possible!
I love this game and I regret from the bottom of my heart that I sold my collection, but this is not the end for me...it's just the beginning!
MY CURRENT STATS
I'm currently sitting at 2080 Power with 77 cards in my account, which only allows me to go into Bronze 2 rank. So you see, I'm really starting way from the bottom again, but I'm up for the challenge. I might be buying some Chaos Legion packs to speed up the process and at least be able to reach Silver 3. At least I have a decent 60% win rate overall, so there's hope!

I've started to play Splinterlands around at the same time than you and honestly I often thought about stopping and selling my stuff. In the end I often was too lazy to do so and now I'm quite happy I didn't do it. I wish you good luck to get back to the top !
