I have played with taunt ability close to gelatinous Cube against blast-equipped monsters. it has helped me reverse the balance of power in the game after the 3rd round. The two monsters were of course a decoy in my strategy.

Yeah, It will be original and highly annoying to your opponent.
I know those annoying battles that's makes one feel so outsmarted 😃
