In the midst of this excitement, another new conclave arcana reward set has been given, which is increasing the performance and participation of users in the battle.
Today's main topic is finding lost gems, that is, cards that no one wants to use anymore or even if they can't, we will see if such lost gems are better than other things. Today I am writing in the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge competition. To participate in this competition, follow the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge post.
One such lost gem that caught my eye is THANALORIAN SCION.
Let's take a look at everything about this card to see why it is a lost gem and why it would be good to use it. The most special reason why this card is a lost gem is that this card has only one health. And for this reason, many people do not want to use this card. However, there are some strategies to use the card that will give the card good performance in battle and keep it alive.
The total mana of the card is 5, which is okay. In addition, it has 3 magic attacks at max level and 1 speed. And the card has 11 armor or shield, which is quite terrible. But only one health. In addition, there are 3 abilities, thanks to which this card will survive in battle despite having 1 health.
Corrosive Ward
-2 to attacker's maximum armor when hit by a melee attack.
If the opponent's melee attack successfully deals 2 armor damage, then the opponent's unit deals 2 armor damage.
Void Armor
Magic damage hits armor before health.
Magic attacks always hit health, but for this ability, you have to hit armor first.
True Strike
Attacks will never miss.
Never miss an attack.
And this is why this card is still the best. Many people don't want to use this card, because this card has 1 health, which in the battle rules is Earthquake, if it deals 2 health damage at the end of the round, the card dies. This is why this unit can never be taken in the Earthquake ruleset.
And for units that give back damage after attacking, even if there is an opponent's team, your unit will die in the match, but that's not the case with all cards. However, I can keep this unit in battle and easily win the battle. So let's see a battle of this card.
Although my team is good in this battle, the opponent's first unit is more dangerous. If you can finish off the opponent's first unit, you can easily win the battle.
There are a total of 2 rules sets in the battle, which are given below:
Stampede: Trample (after using a melee attack to defeat a unit, performs another melee attack against the unit in the next position) can trigger multiple times if the trampled unit is destroyed.
Blood and Sunder: All units have Corrosive Ward (-2 to attacker's maximum armor when hit by a melee attack).
You can see these 2 rulesets which easily have their effect on the match in time. The other two rulesets are quite terrible. In the first round, many attacks were made, but I couldn't do anything to the opponent, but my unit's health was damaged.

In the first round, the opponent's shield is gone at 12 attacks, which is the first unit, so it will be easier to finish this card. And by the end of the first round, the opponent's first position is gone. Now the battle will be easier.
However, I only have 3 units left, and my first position is dead, so my team is a little different. Then in the second round, the THANALORIAN SCION unit and my other cards perform quite badly.

Among the 3 units that I had left, the THANALORIAN SCION unit also finished off 2-3 units, which is quite a good thing and the THANALORIAN SCION card did not suffer any damage. And in this battle, the opponent easily lost in 2 rounds and 3 rounds.
Yes, it is clear how powerful this unit is. However, this unit must always be used in battle with good strategy. Then the battle can be won easily. If any of the opponent's units takes 2 health damage after being attacked, then all the strategies of this unit will be over, so I have to buy this unit wisely. However, it would not be right to avoid this unit like this.
