PeakMonsters Update — Conclave Arcana Rewards Now Live!
Hey everyone! Today we rolled out an update that brings the Conclave Arcana reward set to PeakMonsters. If you’ve been following Splinterlands news, you’ve probably heard about this 43‑card set and its new unbinding mechanics. Here’s what we did to get things ready and what it means for you as a player.
What we changed
- Arcana integration – Our code now recognizes the new edition (18) so these cards show up correctly in searches and filters. The edition selector on the cards page has been updated with the new Arcana icon (see screenshot you shared) to make it easy to filter only Arcana rewards.
- Unbinding scrolls – The old method of burning DEC to unlock soulbound reward cards has been replaced. Splinterlands’ announcement notes that “these Soulbound rewards cards can now be made tradable through unbinding scrolls.” While unbinding itself is handled within Splinterlands, PeakMonsters fully supports the new system by displaying accurate filters for “Bound” and “Unbound” cards and enabling all related actions available for each state — such as viewing, listing, or transferring unbound cards.
- Filtering and search fixes – The “Reward” and “Unbound” filters now understand the Arcana edition, and a broken market link on some listed cards was fixed.
- Image and tooltip tweaks – Added the new card art and icons for the Arcana set, and tidied up a few text labels for clarity.
How Conclave Arcana cards work
Splinterlands have said that the new reward cards “carry no Production Power and cannot be used in Conflicts”. That means they don’t help your land plots, but they still contribute to collection power (as with other reward cards) and can be used in ranked battles. The Conclave set also introduces unbinding scrolls: instead of burning DEC to unlock a soulbound card, you use a scroll corresponding to the card’s rarity. Scrolls can be obtained from loot chests, crafted on land or purchased directly.
One more key difference: Conclave Arcana cards burn for Glint, not DEC. Splinterlands’ docs state that tradable cards are burned for DEC while soulbound cards burn for Glint. The Conclave announcement reinforces that reward cards in this set are intended to be burned for Glint, helping manage DEC inflation.
What you can do with Arcana reward cards
Here’s a quick reference for how each version behaves:
Card type | List on market | Transfer/delegate | Unbind required? | Production Power (PP) | Burn for Glint? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Standard foil (bound) | No – stays soulbound until unlocked | No | Yes – use a scroll to unlock | 0 | Yes |
Standard foil (unbound) | Yes | Yes | Scroll already used | 0 | Yes |
Gold foil | Yes – tradable immediately | Yes | No (already unbound) | 0 | Yes |
Black foil | Yes – tradable immediately | Yes | No (already unbound) | 0 | Yes |
Notes:
- Standard foils drop soulbound and need an unbinding scroll before you can sell, transfer or delegate them. Once unbound, they behave like any other tradable card.
- Gold and Black foils are special: they drop already unbound and can be listed, sold or delegated right away.
- Burning – All Conclave Arcana cards can be burned for Glint. There is no DEC burn option for this set. Burning a card destroys it permanently and credits your account with Glint, which can be spent in the Glint shop for card draws or other rewards.
